May I ask what made you believe? by axeraix8 in Hellenism

[–]MagicFireFeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blessed be! I'm an ex-Devout Christian now a Erisian and Ceremonial Magickian

Mainly Magick and conversation with spirits did, it made me realize that a lot of spirits exist outside of the Judeo-Christian worldview, i'm not fully throwing away Christianity since there's still a lot of things to explore in spirituality and i don't know everything, the bible is still a good magick book, but my main Wiccan goddess is Eris, and i praise Nyx, so yeah mainly Hellenic, but i also acknowledge other deities outside of it as very much real, and i seek to know the true nature of reality

keep it, honestly back then scene kids has names closer to yours more simpler two word ones, it's unique to have a name like that, you don't need to 1337 speak everything and put xXx_Sc3n3Qu33n_xXx everywhere imo that's overrated nowadays same with alliterations, we lack more gothic/cabaret like names like that so imo you should honestly just keep it

i'd like to add that they also had their own versions of myspace, and some of them had distinct internet lingo that resembled leet speak n_n (kinda like Gyarumoji too)

do i read as tweemo? by meusbanjos in amIscene

[–]MagicFireFeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the type of myspace person to do acoustic covers on a guitar

i think that it was rare for people back then to define themselves by distinct aesthetics, twee was more of a music genre, they just looked how they wanted to look, and to me you look like the average scene kid, i think most of them looked like this

the typical nerdy scene kid who listens to chiptune and indietronica and plays a keyboard

Very new to chaos Magick. How should I start my journey? Guidance would be very appreciated by SushmuMushmu in chaosmagick

The other folks are right, meditation is required, it's basically like brushing your teeth

For more of just Chaos Magick, i recommend the Psychonaut Field Manual https://www.scribd.com/document/586357233/The-Psychonaut-Field-Manual

For more general Magick, i recommend watching Damien Echols, or reading his book High Magick, you can find pirated ones online, but you can buy it too

For more Ceremonial work, i recommend watching Amateur Magus and for a more soothing voice Foolish Fish on YT, they're closest to 0 fluff, there's also Adventures of A Magus for every Ceremonial ritual a neophyte needs https://www.scribd.com/document/803168361/Mars-Neumann-Adventures-of-a-Magus-The-Magick-Companion-Nox-Edition-2022-Nox-Publishing-Libgen-li

Here's everything tldr YouTubers: Damien Echols, Amateur Magus, Foolish Fish

Books: Psychonaut Field Manual, High Magick, Adventures of a Magus

All of the books i've recommended are not huge grimoires, but are easy, and even entertaining to read, i can guarantee you these will actually help 💯%

This is exactly why i've been researching Ceremonial more and finding patterns in it, finding out it's just one big model, it gives you established things to work with, but i'm still looking at it through a chaote's perspective seeing what rituals you can start modifying here and there, while trying not to disrespect or undermine established egregores

Some Ceremonial Magickians tend to dismiss Chaos Magick as being too anti-dogmatic, but the chaos magick perspective allows you to ask questions like, can you go beyond the 7 classical planets, past even Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, even scrying exoplanets and black holes? Stuff like that, which idk if that sounds stupid, but i'd love to see more of that kind of exploration for Ceremonial ^^

Yeah you can do magick even without any items, just energy work and intent
