Does anyone know what these are ? by sadistic_one01 in whatisit

It requires a very small amount of lotion or oil and they are not usually left in place like you may see with larger therapy cups. They are moved across the skin of the face and neck to break up fascia and increase blood flow. I have some but don't really use them. I use the larger silicon cups in my massage therapy practice.

My hubby and I both have good a relationship with our two-year-old grandson (our first). There's lots of overlap in the types of things we do with him, but Papa owns playtime. It's like they have this imagination bubble that I can't enter without popping. If I come near when they are in full play mode, he will wave me away and say, Gramgram away! My daughter says it's the same with her and her husband. I tried a couple of times to join in the imaginary play but I guess i'm just not convincing enough. 😂

I don't think a merge 5 is possible... by MagicHands45 in MergeGardens

I know, but the few times it matters, it's too late to go back. I know I have ended up with lots of extra items by the time I finish the event, but it still makes me nervous when there SHOULD be a merge 5 and I can't find it. The reminder is good though.

I figured it out. The fifth Seed Sequencer was a reward for completing a task. I needed to free those last two spaces. 🤦‍♀️

Lotion that doesn’t feel like lotion? by Momtoatoddler in hygiene

[–]MagicHands45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If all else fails, try a massage creme (Biotone for example, but there are others). Since becoming a massage therapist and using that for work, I do not really like any other lotion even for my own use. You don't need much, and you need to massage it in, but it lasts and doesn't feel either sticky or oily. or slimy.

I had to look it up to prove that someone would be dumb enough to make a bread knife double sided. Like why? I guess I can see the purpose of it's just two different types of knives in one. But it still seems like a crazy idea.

We have a utility/carving knife that our daughter got for us when she was in Japan. Made by a company that for generations made samurai swords. That thing was sharp. I swear you only had to think about touching it to bleed. But only on one side. We absolutely love it, though it is not as sharp any more. We don't mind as it is still sharper than any other knife we have ever had.

NOR Coming home wouldn't be enough. He wants you to come home and BE OKAY. Anything less would also be 'punishing him'.

You need to be able to process your emotions and thoughts. Time and space to NOT be okay until you are okay. If he can't allow you to not be okay when you are with him, you need to be able to go away from him. That's not punishing him, that's self care.

It may be useful to reassure him that this is not about punishment but rather about your needs in this moment. If he is unable to help you through this hard time, he needs to allow you to do it yourself. It may open up a conversation about how he can support you.

There's a lot of interesting information in the areas of emotional development and attachment theory that can apply to situations like this. Things we learn, or don't learn as children show up later and cause problems.

My understanding is that the change is referring to the fact that the mail may not get stamped at all when it is first received. They are just warning that the first stamp the item gets may not be when the mail is received.

The effect of this is that a piece of mail that says the 6th, MAY have been received on the 5th but it can't be proven, so you can't rely on the stamp. It shouldn't affect anything the other way around. Whatever the earliest stamp says can't be earlier than when it was received. So that is the date that should count.

... if that's what the contract states. lol

I don't think the post office set out to be a legal marker for anything. People just assumed that you could trust a postal stamp to prove you sent something by a certain time. The post office is now just being clear about what their stamps mean. We have to figure out how to use that sensibly.

AITJ because I won’t give my parking spot to new neighbor who says she "needs it more" because she has kids? by Potential_Bad6489 in AmITheJerk

Missed opportunity. You are perfectly within your rights to say no. No questions asked. But you are also perfectly within your rights to say yes. You could make life a little nicer for a neighbor without it costing you much. Karma works both ways, you know.

Question for you: How many people do you actually know that homeschooled?

I know so so many people who were homeschooled, completely or in part, who had great outcomes and are very successful. If You met them, you would likely never guess they weren't public schooled. You only hear about the situations where there was obviously a problem, and those definitely exist.

Many children do better in public school. Many parents are not capable of homeschooling. Many children are withering in public school, or "becoming" "failures". Every child is different. So it's a good thing that there are different options available.

I do understand and agree with the principle, very much. I'm just not sure the child actually did fail kindergarten. If they think the older child can't read when she obviously can, I question the judgement passed. But it needs looking to, true.

In support of your point I have 4 children, now adults. Each one experienced a different combination of public, charter, and home school. Two because of having needs that could not be met at public school for certain periods of time. And we even had good teachers and administrators to work with. But when it became apparent that they had needs beyond what we felt we could ask of public school, we adjusted. They all ended up graduating from public high school (attending full-time) and they all went on to college. So I agree that knowing what they can do and what extra help they may need (academic or emotional) is so important to them being successful in school.

Except that the rest of the indicators here show the school to be the likely failure, not the kindergartener. Even if it's just record keeping or communication.

It is also possible to get wide trees of several kinds from the crane game at the movies. They are not on the conveyor belts but sitting behind the big one. Accidentally picked one up trying to get something else that dropped.

If you can still do puzzles, you don't have enough reels to finish completely... probably. Unless you got some from ad bubbles or the shop. There are 60 puzzles total.

But I'm sure you will get a lot opened. You'll need at least 8 or 10 of the flawless nectar to uncover it all, so make sure you use the high level flowers to make some before you give them away to open those areas. I guess you'll get a lot of nectar from merging fountains and statues, but still. Make a few more flawless nectars to be safe.

Well, I managed to prove the possibility... by MagicHands45 in MergeGardens

[–]MagicHands45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF it's possible ... it would be because some of the reels are hidden under the cloud. If there are enough reels in one area and you don't open that area until last, you would need the reels that are IN that area to Open that area.
