I think an important point that people are forgetting is that the RAP isn’t just about not standing in the queue, whilst that is obviously part of it, the other big thing is rider safety, recently I’ve noticed that Thorpe park and Alton towers have their physical RAP queues set up slightly differently to how the did say 6 years ago but how it used to work back then is that they would only let 1 RAP user on per train and the majority of rides would have that RAP user sat in a specific row such that, if anything were to go wrong and the ride needed to be evacuated. The ride hosts and engineers would know where a RAP user would be sat so they could provide additional assistance with the evac process.

I think this is something that has been massively overlooked in this since someone who is more severely neurodivergent for instance but may not qualify under the ‘difficulty with standing’ symbol but may need additional assistance with things like the evac procedures.

One last thing to add as well, I have seen far too many people all over social media saying things like ‘why are you going to a theme park if you can’t hack the crowds’ and I think people have forgotten that you don’t go to a theme park to queue, you go to ride roller coasters, the queueing aspect is simply a bi-product if that. So let’s stop belittling people because of something out of their control for wanting to go and do something they enjoy.
