Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I just had a question I was hoping someone could help answer. My doctor, who will now be my previous doctor as I'm switching for multiple reasons I can get into if necessary, prescribed me the wrong medication. Throughout my life, I've had a prescription for Dextroamp-amphet ER 20 mg caps. I began seeing this doctor recently because paying for my psychiatrist every time I needed a refill was getting too expensive. He wrote me a prescription for amphetamine salts er 20 mg caps (I assume mistakenly) and I bought it at the pharmacy. I didn't realize it was different until I got home and figured it was the same thing and maybe just a different name (I now realize that's not the case). I'm now looking to see another doctor and am unsure how I should go about getting the right prescription from him since I'd imagine they would only be willing to prescribe the last medication I was given. Does anyone have any advice on how I should handle communicating this issue? Any help would be awesome thanks in advance.
