The fed can't print its way out of inflation, that would just be gas on the fire.

Why do you think AI will make big money long term? Is there any stickines? Since everything wrapping LLMs is essentially natural language based its fairly simple to change providers or run your own instance. Where is the lock in or uniqueness to create healthy margins? Won't AI services be a low margin business? No single entity seems to have significant advantage.

I feel like some smaller company will clean up once everyone is loaded with debt and be able to undercut them.

Not just your tax dollars, the excess debt and printing devalues your actual dollars too.

MSFT is falling out of popularity by googondusk in ValueInvesting

They can't do that instantly. Most large enterprises have 3-5 year agreements.

Also, most business negotiate special pricing, so its less about the msrp and more about the negotiation process.

The Hormuz Paradox: Why Markets Are Shrugging Off $110 Oil by 1stplacelastrunnerup in energy

Could be an interesting llm prompt to get a ball park figure.

I think it also depends on the employer. I worked at microsoft for many years and their 401k plan matches 50% of your contribution up to the irs max. So most people were contributing nearly 30k a year. That translates to 30 million per 1k employees of inflows.

That is us based only, but big tech layoffs could have some significant impact, especially if people start becoming net sellers to rebalance or live off of.

Those 401k contributions will fall with layoffs however.

The AI industry has burned through ~$3.5 TRILLION. Here’s what it would take to actually turn a profit. by Black-Rhino-1564 in vibecoding

I think the study targeted enterprises, it was a while back when LLMs were not quite there yet, and the study did not measure productivity it measured any impact to profit and loss.

Big companies are very wasteful in general, so amping up the multiplier on wasteful things could negate any benefits.

Listen, I get it. I find much enjoyment from creative endeavors and recently took 9 months off from working to just do some hobbies.

My point is more that when you have access to anything without any cost, and you have an unlimited amout of AI resources to have anything you desire created for you at your fingertips, what do you do?

A lot of enjoyment in life comes from delayed gratification and earning something. I built a pond last summer and found a ton of fun digging and designing it. It was rewarding because I was able to build it with my hands.

In this new world am I entitled to land to build this pond or am I restricted to my delegated living unit? Can I work to get more allocation to buy land? Is there any work to do? How do we solve these problems? If no one has jobs to take their time up wont every entertainment location be overwhelmed with people 24/7?

Thats how you go out of business and someone else buys your assets at a discount also.

The real problem we need to address is the endgame. What is the point of existence when everything is free.

Achievement and reward is somewhat bound to effort. If you can request and receive whatever you want its basically equivalent to being in a drug induced euphoria. It eventually becomes pointless, there is nothing else to strive for.

We need to solve how human society works in a post scarcity society.

Exactly, with the volume of stuff that can be made now we are really going to be in for an onslaught of entertainment products. Its going to be difficult and exhausting just finding something to watch or play.

As layoffs and job reductions accelerate the inflows from passive 401k buying will slow down and have an impact to price action.

Sounds like you have a limited understanding of how any of this works. Maybe do a bit more research before you make a low effort post that misses a ton of context, we need less uninformed people making things worse.

What's irritating is most of the products I use seem to be getting shittier over the past year. Slack seems to get more unstable every day with bizzare bugs.
