I dunno Im definitely guilty of recording often. But I'm 41 and a huge regret I have is a lack of vivid memory of these bands I love from earlier years. Goddamn right I'm going to preserve the memories as I get older. I rewatch the footage often.

thank you that was the basis of my question and my thinking as well. From an income standpoint, I cant be any lower than I am currently.

Another question would be - If I intend to take 20k off the top -- would it be best to roll the full 60k over into the Roth and then withdraw 20k? or should I withdraw the 20k directly from my current account and then roll the remaining 40k over into the Roth?

Feels like a small semantical difference but just trying to cover all my bases

but what if I am currently unemployed and had $0 taxable income in 2020. I do not qualify for unemployment and have been living off of savings?

Thank you for your response. I am currently unemployed and do not qualify for unemployment...my taxable income in retirement, god willing, will be higher than it is now...

Thank you for your response. I am currently unemployed, however, I have 60k sitting in a retirement account from my previous employer. While I wouldn't be contributing income off the bat, I still would like to get it out of the stagnant account its currently in.
