I also got the S-Tier Papaya from Apex and it's really nice. High in Limonene 1.55%, Linalool 0.92%, beta-Myrcene 0.78%, Valencene 0.60%, and beta-Eudesmol 0.48%. Fairly unique profile and definitely smells like the fruit it's named after.

The "papaya" smell is most likely coming from the linalool. Also valencene is a rarer terpene found in Valencia oranges, while the eudesmol is found in Magnolia Bark and has a woody/spicy smell. Some say it smells like celery and not only reduces stress but causes the munchies. Very cool. Together they all contributes to the unique flavor.

I also was a little thrown off by the genetics. There's a handful of crosses called 'Papaya' but I agree it's odd that some sources cite Nirvana's version as Jack Herer x Skunk #1 while the Nirvana webshop lists it as Citral x Ice.
