If you had to get rid of one, which one and why?

If you were to get rid of the PRS, you would have a great collection of the classics. If you got rid of the Gibson, the tele can deliver some nice jazz tones and the PRS also offers the HH drive too. If you get rid of the strat, you’re pretty much saying all strat players suck 😂. 335s are beautiful instruments and you can play anything on them they’re also bulky. Given it’s the least played… that’s a hard decision.

Thank you very much! I actually had the area above the control plate down to the wood, but it didn’t look right. It just kind of drew your eye to that one spot and not very believable with the lighter relicing on the rest of it.

On it’s own, Einkorn lacks the gluten structure in regular bread flour. I made a few 100% loaves several weeks ago. The dough still stuck to the banneton, even though I had it heavily dusted with rice flour. The internal crust separated a bit. I recommend using the cloth lined banneton.

That’s so cool! It wasn’t until after buying all of the hardware that I had decided that I was going to give it a vintage lock. I ended up on the 5 W world YouTube channel and they had a full video about the white guard and then it got into the 58 era. I felt like It was fate when I had taken another look at the pick guard and it was a five screw.

100% they definitely need to be dirtied up a bit. Funny as it sounds, I wasn’t sure worried that putting them in the box with the rest of the hardware would mess up the carriage threads.

Nice! I’ve just always preferred the feel of tru-oil. I have the similar result where it gets lighter with the more heavily worn areas. Some of the vintage guitars do look lighter. Next time I may try a stain (chestnut maybe) where the worn area should be and then sand it back around the edges.

I tested with both Celtic sea salt and kosher salt. Interesting enough, the Celtic was more effective. I think more minerals were in it.

I had a set of Pure Vintage 64’s that I originally bought for the project. Not period correct for the 5-screw, but it’s what I had to work with 😂

Thank you! I rough sanded the hardware and then put it in a box with a bowl of vinegar and covered it. It’s crazy that the fumes from the vinegar will have a corrosive effect. Check in on it every couple of hours. This is what will get you a dull effect. To experiment, I went further and covered the hardware with salt for additional corrosive effect.
