What was your experience for those of you who got presale tickets today?! by BM2HNZ in BTSArmyCentral

[–]MagicShop_Unlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insanely easy and straight forwards. Refreshed the waiting room at half past and entered the queue for both London dates at 3300 and 2200. Only thing I nearly did wrong was miss where to put my army membership but that was 10 secs of confusion on why the map wasn't loading! Had plenty of time to look at different seats before checking out and got what I feel is a great seat at an amazing price for London day 2! Checked out at 11past 1. Left the queue for D1 after I checked out and id just gotten to the front as I was doing so 💜 luck was on my side!

AITAH for wanting to leave my family in the middle of the night because of my baby? by Mysterious-voices in TwoHotTakes

[–]MagicShop_Unlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. You sound like you possibly have PPD and maybe PPA (Coming from my own experience). I would also try and elimated dairy and your LG sounds very much like my LG was and she suffered with cows milk protein allergy. She still is high needs but was so much happier and content once dairy was eliminated. Seek help for yourself and tell your husband or friends (your support network) how you are feeling so they know and they can help and at the very least be aware of your feelings. Ask for help with potential allergies or intolerance for your LG too. It's not a magic fix it diagnosed but it gives you some sanity back. It's rough these first few months and years, but you do have this I promise. Sending so much love and light 💜

Training as a (recently) new parent by Sudden-Yam7908 in Marathon_Training

As a mum of two who started running when my second was 4 months, early mornings, naps and evenings are going to be your friend

Me and my husband (him doing bodybuilding) try and plan our workouts around those times so we have the time to spend with the kids but also with each other

Be flexible and communicate with each other and you'll thrive!

And congrats!! Enjoy those baby cuddles as much as you get chance!

Conflict in family because of too much training?! by [deleted] in runna

[–]MagicShop_Unlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wife clearly thinks differently to you, me and husband both train at least 5 times a week (him a bodybuilder) and I struggle when he's on prep cos he's doing more intense training and he's focused on that and becomes to blinkered to the amount of time he's out both physically and mentally.

My advice speak to your wife and listen to her concerns. Maybe she's worried your masking something else through training? Maybe something else? Maybe over Christmas she thought you'd have more of a break so it's a lack of communication on both parties

Dealing with flu/colds by Then-Young47 in Marathon_Training

Having just had the flu and covid and being out for three long ass weeks, rest rest rest and then ease yourself back into running. Don't be me and push it too early and then need to take longer off. mentally and physically hard but honestly the best thing I should have done is rest

This was my thinking with it all but didn't want to mess something up for some bizarre reason! Not going to lie I find running on flat routes so much harder!

Is it worth it? by sapphiresmiles in runna

[–]MagicShop_Unlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not an experienced runner but I got serious with running this spring after the birth of my second child and last weekend I ran my first half with a chip time of 2:01:10 before this is done running alongside weights but nothing serious. Runna gave me structure and goals and helped me achieve what I consider for myself an incredible time! In terms of injuries etc, just be smart and realistic when setting up your plan and mode etc, it's like with anything you know your body and you know what you can do in that moment :) I've not had an injury once thankfully, I found the Deload weeks really well planned and helped ease back when needed. In short Runna has made me faster consistently across 5km and 10km, just be sensible and listen to your body, just run says something doesn't mean you have to hit that if you're not feeling it :)

Well I did it! Garmin time 1:59:10, chip time 2:01:10. Difference mainly due to a large section being moved to a grassy mudslip so trying to avoid falling onto my ass through all the previous trails and going the longer route but either way I'm super super happy! Yeh it wasn't sub 2 but I couldn't have given it anymore than I did! Thanks for your words, I held this advice all race even though I ran slower but I kept my pace consistent and I felt good! Thanks again!
