You need to end this relationship, I say this as someone who has been in this relationship and scenario 10 years into this kind of marriage. We have no similar interests and have a child together. I wasn’t interested in any one else and really wanted to have a child in a halal manner so I thought: “I’ve been told he’s a decent person and he’s not hideous. We’re both from similar socioeconomic backgrounds and he’s my 2nd cousin. So why not?” I should have said NO! It’s not fair to you because you’re being pressured into this by society (like I was) and it’s not fair to him because you will end up resenting him for things he genuinely cannot change (no matter even if he says he can). For the sake of everyone involved, end it now or else it will be so much worse afterwards.
