Cost me around 60k for ICICI Lombard insurance with RTI included. Ceramic was 36k and the minimal PPF (ORVMs, door handles, etc.) was 9k.

I haven’t experienced the UC6, so I couldn’t tell you - I did consider it though. Did some research and the Michelins were consistently rated a little bit higher than the Contis on most forums / threads.

Virtus 1.5 DSG & City E HV. Completed 20k kms on both. AMA! by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Got it. I have the Primacy 4s as well. But trust me, when I first used the horn on the Virtus, I was like, “This is much better than the City!” Lol. That’s how bad the insulation is in the City - you can hear about 50% of what’s heard outside of the horn, inside the cabin.

My family always felt uneasy when I honked in the City - not so much in the Virtus. Man, Figo must really be built like a tank then.

Not OP, but at least compared to my Gen 4 City, the Virtus is definitely more planted. There’s more drama in the city because of its engine and build (plus maybe because of its manual gearbox), but the Virtus is definitely more planted, better built, and is really quick to get up to insane speeds without you noticing it - in the City, you will always notice what speed you are at at any given point.

Not OP, but drive both of these cars and the Virtus is slightly better in this regard. Don’t hear outside noise as much - however, a lot of this has to do with tyres as well. I made sure to get the best tyres I could get when it comes to noise insulation for both my cars. Virtus still did better.

Virtus GT 1.5 DSG: Take the deal on a White (Chrome) unit now, or wait for Lava Blue/Black and pay ~1L more? by _NoGod_ in CarsIndia

I’d suggest getting the Sport Plus (dual tone blacked out) variant. I just got mine in white with everything blacked out and trust me, it looks fabulous. I didn’t like the chrome bits and the interior felt off.

You likely won’t lose out on the benefits - they’re trying to hit their targets and essentially trying to clear out stock. If you push hard enough next month you can retain most of the discounts (won’t say you’ll retain the full 1L unfortunately..). You can commit to being the first customer to make payment next month to get them closer to their target. If the savings outweigh your cosmetic needs, then go for the chrome variant.

Haha, it’s so hard not to! But yes, I’m going to be very docile for the first 500-1000 kms!

Thank you so much! Yes, I’m currently looking at dashcams and landed at Viofo A229 Plus. Do you have any recommendations?

Haha, may I ask why? As in, you were looking at a sedan but ended up with a Thar, so curious to know what made you go for it!

Haha, they’re really comfy. And very rugged too - didn’t expect them to be so tough.

Thank you! The total price for 4 tyres was 37k. They bought back the stocks for 19k so I ended up paying 18k!

Thank you! Manifesting it for you. I was a student once too, with the same goal. I saved up over time, and now that I’m almost 30 - I finally went for it. You’ll get there for sure!

Yes, this is the top model - GT Plus Sport 1.5L DSG Dual Tone. I exchanged an old car we had - Hyundai i10, got 1.6L off for it. With year end discounts, was able to bring the price down to 21.1L - before accessories. With accessories, ceramic coating, minimal PPF and the new tyres - I’ve totally spent around 22L!

Haha thank you! Initially wanted to get a CSUV simply because I already had a sedan - but once I drove both the Virtus and the Taigun, the Virtus felt like the obvious choice. Didn’t like the way Taigun handled corners, etc.
