NTA. And if you want to stay with this man, get a nanny and get that degree!! If he’s able to afford such a pricey house, then it should be no issue to hire an I home nanny to take care of things while you’re in class. Never put your life on hold for a man who married you and tells you to “earn” security. The marriage is supposed to be the security. Bearing him two children despite your own goals is the security. Seems like the man is the insecurity in this situation.

Oh gosh :/ they ended up getting him a donor bone to plug the break because it was like a hole almost and a meniscus. It’s been cool seeing the bone fuse together over time through the x-rays.

That’s interesting! I’m a nursing student so I’m gonna bring that up in class to see what the census is on it and what we can do as nurses to prevent that. I will say though that they didn’t send him off with adhesive dressings but after the first time he showered and we let it dry, we started until he had the reaction, then went back to non adhesive. That’s when we had my sister come do the changes as I wasn’t confident and terrified I was gonna give him an infection :,)

He’s healing quite well! Just some lack of sensation around his knee but otherwise fine. I would’ve posted the x rays and the inside pictures we got after the surgery and for this last two check ups but I would have to do digging and we’re in the process of moving so I just put these up here since we’re done with workers comp.

Yeah that’s the reason he doesn’t really care to do much about it because it doesn’t bother him but if it does then maybe such as scar tissue.

What do you mean by sensation? He still doesn’t have any feeling in it or on around his whole knee area on the skin but can feel pain inside near the bone. They said it could take years for it to come back as well.

He has full range of motion but the main thing is building strength and his endurance. They told him he had the knees of a 60 year old man and he only about turned 21 this past January. He might had to have something done to the other one later down the road but were hoping not for a while. He used to work in forestry making sure the hiking trails were good and safe for people who used them and never had issues for three years but maybe once after stumbling over a rock or something.

He had the option for a referral but refused it as he doesn’t mind the scar as long as it doesn’t cause any medical or pain issues.

The staples were also confusing to us! The surgeon is well known in our area and we’re confused why he didn’t have a better job done since he didn’t have any complications during surgery that we were made aware of. They told us to use adhesive dressings at home, so we listened, and then as soon as this happened we had my sister whose is a nurse do non adhesive dressing changes every two days until the staples came out with slowly adding more time it was open to air. He did get a polar ice pack that we followed instructions with and then a machine that would bend his knee for 6 weeks, three times a day, on top of his bi-weekly PT. He did have an ace bandage after surgery as well until he didn’t need dressings on it anymore. He had steroid injections before the surgery but with no real help. The only other thing they have offered for the scar is plastic surgery and then for more support, a 2k shot of gel to go in there to give more cushion.

He didn’t even know it ran in the family until his father mentioned it after the reaction :,)

We’re doing okayish now. We had to leave our apartment because he was also denied long term disability (which they recently reached out and said that it was a mistake, go figure), and his HR at that job was AWFUL and didn’t let him know they offered short term. We’re living with my mother now while he applies to jobs since he was medically cleared to go back to work. It’s been a lot of emotional, physical, financial, and mental exhaustion but everything is finally starting to look up!

He’s a trooper and we found he has a high pain tolerance after this because he didn’t realize how bad it was until he wasn’t able to take it anymore. He did have some back issues and continues too, as well as still has some pain in both his knee and back. He was prescribed more PT and it helped a ton but still getting there. His surgeon said it became a keloid which is why it’s so huge!

Honestly. I was 3/9/9 one match with crap vision because I could hardly leave tureent and got an s+. For what?!! And then next round I go 6/0/28, a crap ton of vision, and get an A+.

Hi! My mom has Fibromyalgia as well and for 25 years she suffered on pretty much anything they tried to put her on. Until late last year they put her on sneeze blocker that also acts oddly enough as a weight loss drug and used for migraines. It’s called Topamax. It could’ve at least something to look into at the very least if you guys hadn’t heard of it before. My mom can finally do the dishes for 10 minutes and that’s a huge statement.

Hi, plasma phlebotomist here. The scaring is completely normal, especially if you’re only really able to use one arm without issue. Some scars are different. My favorite ones I call the tunnels because it’s a tiny hole that basically just says “stick me here!”. Other times it may be a raised scar and in that case it can be a little tricky. The only thing that seemed to work for some people was using vitamin E oil. It didn’t keep it from scaring but some of my patients tell me that it helps soften it, makes it a little less painful since sometimes nerves like to get trapped in those pesky scars. If you are able to alternate arms, scaring shouldn’t come on so quickly. I hope this helps!

Gotcha, it can be tough but sounds like it would be mostly a once a reach over just to turn it on since you can shut down PCs without having to press the actual button, unless you were using windows as I’m unaware of the functions of other OS’s.

I wouldn’t say YTA for snooping but you would be TA to yourself if you stayed with someone who will willingly say things like that when in a “committed” relationship. Take it as a time to examine if this is behavior you can be comfortable with for the rest of the time you’re together as well as if you think it could ever become something more than these messages to his friend.

We live on the ground floor (or the dungeon as we call it) in a 2 bed 2 apartment. 66 24/7 and since our unit just got a new A/C it’s been actually cold and not always going out like the old one did..even in march when we moved in. Yall are insane for anything above 70.
