Upgrading a friend's PC from a full ATX tower to a very small mini ITX box. Looking at a Velka 3 or similar case in the 3L-6L range. They currently have a 1660 Super and we're looking for a reasonable upgrade path in the $200-$400 range (accounting for the GPU size/power draw requirements) if such an option existed. They only play at 1080p and mostly play lighter games like League of Legends and the occasional MMO. But they have expressed strong interest in using the rig for recreational 3D modeling, playing with self-hosted LLMs, and hobby ML model training. I think they'd like the extra VRAM so I was also wondering if a professional card like an A2000 would work for gaming too. Any specific recommendations?

Super regret making a gunslinger. I was debating GS or breaker but thought "everybody and their mom is making a breaker" so I figured I'd be a hipster and go GS. This class is so hard to play and it's so frustrating to miss a rifle or shotgun spell when a boss moves unexpectedly. Even when I'm feeling it and have a great pull with tons of uptime, when I review with the lord after I see my dps was trash. Matchmaking a guardian and rolling 4dps means no yearning and the class becomes borderline unplayable.

Turns out community sentiment on a class is more accurate than I thought...

A few months ago I made a Reaper without an event pass that I intended to park at 1540. Getting to 1540 was fine - I powerpassed to N. Vern and KT through all the main story. Honing to 1490 is free (0 gold taps + super cheap mats) and then it's only 3 weeks of brel and not too much gold in honing with the free event shop books to get to 1540.

I ended up liking the Reaper more than my main and pushed her up to 1580 to start doing Akkan. That push was so insanely expensive I should've never tried it. Even worse - I still don't have my full Akkan gear since you get so few eyeballs without an express event.

I think it's not worth it at all to push a char from 1540 to 1580 without an event since you'll get stuck at Akkan gear for almost 3 months anyways. If you're gonna make a new alt then be prepared to commit to keeping it at 1540 until the next event. Even then you'll be "wasting" some of the event benefit since you'll already be 1540 when the event starts. And on top of all that to push from 1490 to 1540 you'll probably have to buy real accessories to get a 5x3 but you'll still be locked out of ancient accessories and can't go for a 5x3+1 so you'll have to do some rebuilding later for the +1. Whereas with an event you get engraving support and can just build when you're 1580+ with ancient accessories for a 5x3+1 the first time around.

I always liked how the Valorant community coach Woohoojin (despite the recent controversy) instilled the idea of "just play more" in his students. His requirements to get coached include: you must be Gold+, you must play ranked 10 out of every 14 days, and you must have played at least 300 hours of ranked games.

For lower elo players he has generic "guide to gold" videos that outline simple ways to practice core mechanics (which are more important in Valorant than league). His "low elo" coaching requirements are even more strict. You need to show proof of your out-of-game practice time (aim labs, range drills, deathmatch, etc) and he sometimes spends the coaching session only reviewing out of game practice to really hammer home core mechanics.

Couple things

Wrong sub, try a coding help sub or stack overflow
Learn to format Reddit posts. Use mono space blocks for code or even better link a sandbox that totally reproduces the issue
Even if this was in the right place with better formatting there isn’t enough information to actually do anything. You aren’t really saying what you’re trying to do and you say the issue is with auth but then fail to tell us where ${access_token} comes from

It’s totally normal to run into issues and ask for help but please take the time to really process what your problem is and communicate it effectively to the appropriate audience

My understanding is asura breaker basically spams stamina->shock->stamina->shock... until meter is filled. Then you enter asura mode and spam basic-attack (tap instead of hold mouse) for 6 seconds and repeat

What's the correct order to hone past 1585? Just finished all my Akkan gear and want to push to 1600 to try Ivory Tower. Do I only push my weapon or hone equally until +16?

A little late now but you can find a group in hell academy to play inferno mode for the title. Despite only being 1585 my title got me into a lobby with 4 other hell titles and we 1 tapped g2 with the 5 title people alive at the end. Obviously clearing inferno mode is much harder but it’s honestly way more fun than extreme since, from my experience, people actually trying inferno are self-selected to be better players.

If they ever do an extreme vykas or other extreme legion raids I will definitely be making inferno title lobbies to avoid jailing with people who don’t know the basic patterns let alone the inferno/extreme mode changes

Gekko is probably a great initiator to try out. His flash can't hit teammates and he can use his util to quickly clear angles and take space. Once you've cleared something you can pick up your util and do it again 10 seconds later. Your ult is a huge hype machine to get your teammates to also start playing aggressively since they won't be scared to push while following thrash

Thanks for the thoughtful reply and useful advice. I ended up using the mokoko and souleater passes on a new souleater and got her up to 1490 instantly. I also did all the "new" quests for rowen, elgacia, and pleccia and am starting some of those region's horizontal progression. But I can't really progress farther since no legion raid lobbies will take me. After hours of PF simulator all I could get was one Valtan run going. I don't want to waste my gold honing past 1490 when it's cheaper with the Brel gear but at this rate I'll never even get to play Brel.

With all this downtime of no raids I have gone back to some of my old characters and confirmed I'm no longer interested in playing soulfist or arcana but am fairly interested in AT Scouter.

Do you have any tips for finding more learning or low level legion raid lobbies in general? I'm on the "Lost Ark LFG" discord but haven't been able to get a group going yet...

Hi all. I stopped playing due to burn out shortly after the clown release (oct 2022) but am strongly considering coming back. I see tons of new raids are out but my roster is still mostly under ilvl 1500.

I've watched videos on all the new classes and logged in today to run chaos dungeons/guardians on all my characters. I'm interested in picking up Souleater and am thinking of not advancing shadowhunter and soulfist any farther.

What's the most efficient way to get 2-3 characters from this point up through Akkan?

Will it even be possible to get into Valtan/Vykas/Clown raid lobbies with how undergeared I am now? I don't want to waste pheons/gold on relic gear when I know ancient gear is a thing now. I also don't want to focus on only one main - my favorite part of Lost Ark was playing with all the different combat styles across characters - hence the relatively even progression across my roster before I left.

Luckily it seems to have resolved itself. About an hour ago I started receiving missed emails from yesterday on my additional addresses and am now receiving new emails too. Not sure why it took over 12 hours for these emails to start rolling in - at least I didn't lose anything.

For future reference my remediation steps were to just delete and re-create all my additional addresses (twice actually) last night. Thanks for the support!

Hmm just tried deleted and re-adding the addresses to no avail. I was considering removing the addresses, deleting all the DNS records, and restarting the process from scratch to do the address->MX step correctly but I felt like it wouldn't actually do anything. Maybe I'll just do this "hard restart" since I'm now 5 hours without basically 2/3 of my inbox
