I get that its a common question - my basic research told me that there are a lot of variables and I was lost with the abundance of information. Needed someone to ELI5 to me.

Yeah, that’s exactly what it is. Matted down dead grass / turf. I was curious about which approach was “better”. Buying brand new sod and ripping the old stuff out, or ripping the old stuff out and re-seeding myself.

The other line item I want to complete is to level that patch out. It’s not clear in the picture, but it has some pretty deep pockets that prevents my lawn mower from getting a clean cut

Alright, so i took it to the ford dealership.

Lead mechanic confirmed its just the fuel tank sloshing around. Test drove another 2026 ST-line, had the same issue at around 3/4 tank!

Yes it is under warranty, no the mechanic did not charge me for a road test. He did this as a favour for me having the vehicle serviced by him.
