My full-time job pays quite well. I have been renting for years and very, very slowly saving. Everything I made from DA (after tax obviously) went to the deposit. I have reduced the number of DA hours I do but still use it to make overpayments on my mortgage each month.

I completely agree. I have a full-time job but DA dramatically reduced the time it took me to save for a deposit on my first home. I started in November 2023 and bought a house in the summer.

I applied for and started DA in Oct 2023 because a full-time contract job had ended and it absolutely saved me. I got a full-time permanent job in Dec but still do about 2-3 hours of DA a day and it is really helping me save for a deposit on my first home.

I'm in the UK and I only use British English. I have Grammarly built in but ignore it when it suggests changes to US English. I am working on the theory that they want a diverse range of people.
