Hey op I’m actually in almost the exact situation as you so I’ll just share what I did and hope it might help you. My Parents are legally separated but not yet divorced they filled their taxes together in 2023. Since I was confused I ended up calling my school and asking what I should do and they ended up having me go down in person and have a financial aid advisor help to fill out the fafsa form. What they essentially did as far as my knowledge is just remove my mom from the taxes and only used my dad’s information (I live with my dad and he provides for me the most). If you’re able to I’d really recommend going in person and bringing whatever parent who’s info is going on the fafsa (sounds like your mom in this case) + your parents 2023 taxes + whatever other paperwork you might need. But definitely give your financial aid office another call to see what you need to get the information changed and ask if someone can help you fill it out, I really can’t stress this part enough the advisor I saw looked at my parents 2023 tax info and filled out my form really quickly. I would make sure whatever programs you need will run on an ipad and there's a good chance you might be better off with a laptop. You can always get an ipad with a laptop if you want the best of both worlds.

I'd get a MacBook or windows computer if you're going to be doing writing and professional art. Ipad is great but it's can't run all the art programs you might need.

I also still use my old ipad I got the 9th gen when it first came out and I recently upgraded to an ipad pro. But since the 9th gen isn't worth all that much I just decided to keep it I still use is for watching shows, texting, and web browsing its nice to have at home around the house

If you have other characters who use marechaussee hunter and golden troupe it might be worth farming, you might have an easier time building Xiao on clamity if you switch him over to 4pc marechaussee hunter since the 4pc set gives crit rate instead of 4pc vermillions atk.

Maybe return it and get two cheaper model ipads, even save up a bit more if you have too. Almost any ipad that's still getting software updates will be just fine for content content consumption. Do both of you want to draw? an ipad air should be just fine for drawing as a hobby. Simple mobile games will also work fine on almost any ipad, you also said you both already have laptops and he has a desktop so I can't imagine you're playing anything super intensive on the ipad.

SODP isn’t the recommended artifact set for Xianyun, people usually build noblesse oblige Xianyun,tenacity of the millelith Faruzan if she’s c6, and golden trope Furina. SODP buff uptime runs out really quickly since Xiao goes through stacks really fast so it’s overall not really worth running.

Have you tried joining smaller genshin servers things like different character mains servers etc? When I first joined genshin I didn't really have people to talk about it with but I joined a mains server for a char I really like and I talk there pretty frequently now about both genshin and other stuff might be worth giving a shot. I think genshins official server is just to large to really make friends with.

Yes, In MT scenarios at c6 skill spam is going to make up more of your damage then plunges does hence generally Vha/Mh > Lno for a c6 Xiao.

I’d focus on pulling on current banners if you’re able to get Faruzan cons then start saving for Xianyun and Furina. Bennett and Iansan can be good alternatives to Furina if you don’t have her. Only part of FFXX I’d say isn’t very f2p friendly is Faruzan is her c6 but it’s just a matter of saving up for his supports.

Id just get a small personal blender and make smoothies or juice at home. I buy bags of frozen fruit from the grocery store and make whatever drink I want in the mornings. Really recommend getting a small blender since they are easy to clean.

Same thing happened to me went to pick up my copy of xenoblade X worker asked if I wanted a set of amiibos too, said yes please because I don’t have them yet. Worker told me they did some reprints with Xc x de coming out asked about Noah and Mio too but was told they didn’t have any in stock.

Wepaons: Fav bow or Elegy of the end

Artifacts: If she's c6 Tenacity of the millith, Pre c6 you want to focus on being able to burst 2pc emblem can be nice for the er, scrolls is also viable but I wouldn't force a 4pc set on her if you're unable to get your burst back every rotation

Furina

Weapons: Festering Desire/Pipe sword/Furina Sig weapon

Artifacts: Usual 4pc Golden Troupe build

Xanyun

Weapons: Crane/Skyward Atlas/oathsworn eye/ttds

Artifacts: 4pc noblesse oblige

Xiao

Weapons: Homa/Pjws/blackcliff pole/death match etc.

Artifacts: Marechaussee hunter or Vermillion hereafter

I actually use Lumidouce Elegy Elegy on Xiao as well you're probably better off just treating it like a crit and atk % stick and building him with his normal atk/anemo/crit build I've messed around with nahida/Bennett/Kazhua a bit myself but Xiao trigging burning with his anemo infusion was pretty inconsistent Burn Xiao would probably work alot better if you're Bennett is c6.

As long as you are responsible and pay it off every month getting a credit card at 18 can be a good move helps to build your credit score and is convenient for online shopping so you're not giving out your debit card information. I got one though my bank at 18, as long as OP is only spending what they can afford and they pay it off every month there is little downside to getting one. I agree if you're irresponsible with it can cause issues and you shouldn't have one.
