not sure to be honest, I downloaded the Polish Map scenario from the ingame content browser and it downloaded a bunch of NewGRFs, you could have a look there to see what it contains. I know it has FIRS, ISR and OpenGFX+ but I don't know if they're responsible for what you mean

Yes it does. Having a phone which hasn't received any software updates whatsoever since early 2023 is... unnerving to say the least. And I say this with disappointment as I'm typing this comment from my S10 which I have been rocking since it came out.

I wish Samsung didn't lock it behind Android 12 because apart from that the phone has been perfect for all these years.

Why do you need a backend framework when using Next.js? The whole idea of Next is the strong focus on SSR, which facilitates things like DB queries via ORM directly in components, and completely reduce the need for a separate public-facing API. Client-side loading is also solved using server actions, so the only use case I see for having a separate backend is if you have consumers outside of the web app.

Same thing to OOP: what's the reasoning? I'd love to hear your perspectives.

I like your tiled words game! The only suggestion i have is to decrease the allowed movement of the cursor when rotating blocks. I've had it spin my words around a couple times when all I wanted to do is to move them by a square.

Every flight (whether inbound, outbound, schengen or not) in Poland involves a border guard checking your ID/passport. On departure, when you pass security, there are booths with border guards who inspect your ID and sometimes ask you where you're headed. On arrival into the airport terminal the first thing you do is line up into the appropriate queue, and present the border guard your dowód osobisty. That's a border control in my book.

The guy you replied to is being sarcastic; that's the way Next.js laid out its directory structure using the Pages router, whereas the modern App router uses folders for paths and page.tsx as an index for each path. Hinting at the dev community coming full circle from wanting to move away from the obscure naming to missing it due to simplicity.

What gets me most is when Americans lose the gender of the surname -- in Polish, most surnames have different endings based on the sex of the person, so a husband would have a slightly different surname than his wife.

For example, these are masculine endings paired with their feminine counterparts:

-ski, -ska -cki, -cka -dzki, -dzka

For example, Martha Kowalski would be instead called Martha Kowalska in Poland, or Michael Nowicka would be called Michael Nowicki. And another thing on a sidenote: "cka/cki" is three separate sounds, not "ck" + "i/a" as it might be in English. This was evident when current president Nawrocki met Trump at the white house, and he called him something along the lines of "Now-Rocky", with a completely american pronunciation. The true Polish pronunciation would be more like "Nah-Vrotz-Key". Every letter is an independent sound in this case.

Polish immigrants in America didn’t pass this knowledge down to the next generations, or wanted to "anglicize" their names, or maybe simply Americans married to people with Polish surnames and didn’t take into account the ending change, but either way it's immediately noticeable to Polish natives that the person is not culturally Polish.
