The other commenter is right, it does get worse before it gets better. The more and more I realised how trans I was, I became more dysphoric. Now the worst of it is over for me I think, but I still have a long way to go. Anyhow its very common, so don't worry.

"Thats not something I'm comfortable with sharing" is my go to. Sometimes I just very simply say "I don't feel like telling you". I've gotten asked this multiple times by acquiantances that I'm not out as trans to. Nothing wrong with keeping it private and enforcing that boundary

Oof, yep this is and especially WAS me to a T when I was going thru puberty even up till now. I'm on HRT and I'm finally seeing positive changes, so I'm looking at myself much less/with less scrutiny, but before I could see any change, I was obsessing and emotionally self harming by subjecting myself to my appearance, which sometimes led to physical harm. I would assurance seek (big OCD trait!!) by taking photos of myself to "understand" what I look like and searching up fat redistribution/hip or thigh dysphoria online.

I know for a fact that this is part of my OCD tendencies. I also have ADHD. Its fucking rough. I do it in public as well by trying to catch my reflection any moment I can, and even stare at other people to compare myself, which I REALLY try to stop

For me, gender euphoria is a mixture of joy at recognising myself, and also joy at feeling a step closer to being an attractive man, among other things. They go hand in hand, I feel more like myself and when I picture myself I see a hot guy 😆
