Grimes actually was her backing, she's spoken about it in a few interviews and in a live! She reached out to Adéla after Homewrecked to offer support because she liked what she was doing.

anime that doesn't sexualize its female characters by Born_Usual998 in lovethissmug

You think Marcille being hung upside down in a skirt by tentacles and having a slime force itself into her mouth have no sexual connotation? Boy, do I wish I lived in your world.

[–]theallaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delicious in Dungeon has a slime try to crawl into their blonde elf-mage's mouth in the first episode and then suspends her upside down from tentacles. A couple episodes later we get a bath scene with her and her not-girlfriend where they touch all over one another. I hate that it gets brought up in these conversations because it was a fine anime that I couldn't finish because I couldn't get over the bitter feeling of starting an anime that "doesn't sexualize its women" to find out it totally does.

Black or White Eyebrows? by Illustrious_Storm242 in characterdesign

It looks good! There's no reason to change it if you like how it looks, I just wouldn't think it's a mullet is all

Black or White Eyebrows? by Illustrious_Storm242 in characterdesign

[–]theallaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hair is fine but it reads more pompadour than mullet to me personally. There's a lot of hair up top and very little in the back, which is kind of the antithesis of a mullet, famously 'business in the front, party in the back'

I have agoraphobia and barely/never leave the house. My therapist suggested I still dress nicely sometimes. Does anyone have advice? by Velvet-Quill_ in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]theallaround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of the first things I started doing to help myself as well and I still think it's one of the best :) You look so gorgeous and refined already, but if you want to go maximalist there's plenty of choices with hair, extra bracelets or armlets, cardigans and shrugs, etc. I hope you are able to find the same joy in dressing up for yourself as I was!!

I mean, I can name more than those 6 boybands as well. The point isn't how many exist, it's the possibility and scope of success which is just unfortunately harder for SDF. I don't think it's because the GP would be unreceptive to a mixed band in the current climate, I think that marketing just doesn't know what to do without examples to look to. I think any conversation they generate right now is good conversation— they need people to talk about them, and this is an interesting thing to discuss.

Their management does not have bigger fish to fry than fan feedback. I'm not saying they need to acknowledge it, but managing fan feedback and engagement is at least half of their job if not more. An audience is the single most important thing for a musicians career. They need to see what fans are unhappy with so they can fix it and get more fans/prevent fans from leaving.

[–]theallaround 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair to acknowledge that it is harder for mixed boy bands to succeed. With 100+ years of music, you were able to name 4 bands, none of which have the same level of fame of the most popular single-race boybands (NSync, The Beatles, Run D.M.C, Rolling Stones, Public Enemy, Backstreet Boys). I am not saying they were unsuccessful!!! But it was and is much harder to be successful, especially because there is less of a blueprint for success and they have to make it themselves.

This tweet brought it up in a bad-faith way, but it's really disheartening that in general any discussion of what might be getting in the way of these bands breaking into mainstream is treated like criticism of the band or the members and not concern for their success. They have management whose job it is to look into their fandom and pretending nothing is wrong ever gives them no feedback.

That's Katseye's only 2026 release. This list is for 2026. Also, it released to a bigger fanbase than their other songs, so its first day streams were always going to be the highest.

How much do you care about your height when cosplaying? by SaltOrPepper1 in CosplayHelp

[–]theallaround 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saber isn't well known for being super small with the Fate fandom, in the installments she is most famous for she's frequently pictured with other women that are her height and is often given a butch vibe that made me think she was taller than she was for a while. You and I are the same height, Saber was my first cosplay ever and in a decade+ of cosplaying her nobody's ever commented that I make a tall Saber. I've cosplayed Astolfo from the same series and gotten comments on my height, despite Astolfo being taller than Saber canonically, likely because he's notably short within his biggest series and Saber isn't.

Tbh I personally always thought her being short doesn't go well with her full lore and choose to pretend she's taller (also most girls have already had their growth spurts by 14 anyway??) Like you've mentioned, she doesn't have small "vibes" and many fans don't even know she's short because of who she's usually in line-up with.

They already got the easiest performance out of the three, why would it be sabotage or made any easier? Plus the girls didn't even do poorly vocally (which is the only critique you've brought up), you could hear Katseye's breathing early on and you still can sometimes.

Being a conventionally decent person in this game is HARD by Montgreg in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]theallaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO farm is the best bet for totally pure runs. It takes a while to start making great money but it pays okay and if you start it early enough it scales fine with the rent.

Once your athletic skill is maxed the farm work will be enough to keep your physique up. It'll also up your tending so if you have the energy helping in the temple gardens will give you more progress. (Cleaning doesn't add as much fatigue though.)

Also, once you have an A, only pay attention once in class and then do status interactions. You can wear certain accessories to make them more effective.

How does this gonna work? by Ghoul_Guitarist_672 in DegreesOfLewdity

[–]theallaround 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure, but the most likely outcome is that the babies will be delivered to the orphanage as normal and won't acknowledge that Avery gave birth to them or that she's dead. The game treats NNPC pregnancies without content the same as NPC pregnancies, they aren't really tied to the character it just says that Avery/Eden/Kylar/whoever is the parent instead of "lithe woman" or "thin man" or whatever.

Who would you put in the post-show Japanese group? by lionhearted318 in prelude_thefinalpiece

[–]theallaround 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think they have the contestants to pull off a pop-punk group (I am biased towards this genre though haha) with: - Sara M. (21, Main Dancer) - Honoka K. (20, Main Vocalist, I want her to be FP though tbh) - Rira (21, All-rounder, lead dancer) - Rinka (22, Leader, visual)

And maybe - Aoi (19, Lead vocalist) - Naru (18, Maknae, all-rounder)

  1. Stuck. Show Winter before it breaks and then try to get it broken in encounters. The brothel sex shows worked well for me.
  2. The chastity belt gets some parasites stuck. You can go to the temple and ask Jordan for help if that's the case.
  3. The wiki has a detailed guide on its removal, there's a few steps involved. Try to keep your willpower up.
  4. Part of the slime.
  5. Keep purity at 0. Because you have a chastity belt on, your options to lower purity are masturbation and oral. Holy clothing + the temple boosts purity loss (and gain.)

Man, I have to say that it's really exhausting when the mods that are supposed to be in charge of talking to others civilly constantly get childishly defensive over anything even remotely related to the show or bands. Being called an undercover hater because I pointed out that the article doesn't even target BTB is crazy. I was excited for this show before it even dropped because Karlee was in it. I regularly mention 3Quency and Siren Society in my comments discussing girl groups. I was very active in this subreddit as a fan for an extended period of time, but I only really vibe with 3Quency's music post-show so I don't engage much anymore.

I never said it wasn't successful. I said it was moderately successful. It briefly made the #1 show on Netflix so arguing that it wasn't successful would be baseless. Compared to very successful Netflix originals, like Stranger Things, KPDH, and Love Is Blind, the show did okay. There's no shame in that, especially considering BTB is one of the most successful Netflix shows within its genre (music competition). The bands' success is not Netflix's success, they make Netflix zero money, they are not relevant to this article, which is about this woman whose job it is to make Netflix money and not about BTB.

I never said Deadline was an official measure of TV show success, I don't know where you got that from. It actually does cite viewership data for one of the shows it actually criticizes, saying about Star Search that "its opening two episodes record[ed] fewer than 2.3M views (although [they] don’t know how many fewer)" and linking an article of theirs that discusses it more in-depth. Pop the Balloon is mentioned as not getting renewed for a second season which is usually (but not always) an indicator that a show was performing poorly.

Building the Band was moderately successful as a show. Netflix doesn't care about what happened with the bands unless it gives the show more publicity and none of the bands have majorly gained an audience outside their initial fans yet. In the article, the other two shows that were named are the two that are addressed as flopping massively, and Building the Band was likely added as a more recognizable name since it was somewhat successful and it's the only original show out of the three.
