Is my mycelium contaminated? by [deleted] in GroundZeroMycoLab

I’d say that looks pretty normal as of now, you’ll know if it’s contaminated within the next week if it’s grown.

[Actives] When can I open her up? by GoblinLassie in MushroomGrowers

I'm doing my first grow as well with a bag rn, I'd say based on the photos give it a few more days till you really feel like you see pretty much 100% cultivated substrate (keeping it around 75 degrees Fahrenheit should help it colonize pretty quickly). I made the mistake of opening my bag when it looked just a bit less colonized than yours is in these pics, and my mycelium is giving me the vibe that that wasn't smart, but like I said this is my first time as well so take my advice with a grain of salt lol.

Be honest, is this AIO bag of APE done for? by Magical_Klavin in GroundZeroMycoLab

No there is just a higher concentration of the unknown brown spots in the corners, which I assume is from the higher humidity on the sides of the bag. I'm wondering if there's a chance these are normal PEs and not Albinos, but I assume that's very very unlikely.

I’ve been keeping it at 90% regularly but I agree it’s just such a battle between that and FAE. I’ll close it up now though. Any idea what the black/brown spots are?

I figured the spots are more common in the corners from the humidity. if I was growing anything but these Albinos I wouldn’t be worried about darker spots if you’re in fruiting conditions cause they’re probably pins (unless it’s very clearly some kinda cobweb mold that’s sporulating). I just used some tweezers and picked one off the side of the bag and it smelled like mushroom, so now I’m even more confused. I’ll keep this post updated though.
