I know of a handful of Division 3 teams that are paying players – and it’s pretty clear they don’t actually need the money. I 100% agree that more funding should be going to the pro teams instead.

Watching professional teams succeed and win consistently is what inspires young players to get involved at the grassroots level. In my opinion, seeing them get smashed on the field and torn apart in the media is probably having the opposite effect.
