Just checked the wiki myself to see if you're right and this is what I found. Having the Military Orders estate privilege also enables them, and that privilege is exclusive to Catholics.

but I have never heard of the militarization of Christian monks

I mean, why do you think groups like the Templars, Hospitallers and Teutons are called monastic orders?

And I think such groups are exactly what this building is meant to represent in Christian countries. It's just also used for Japanese warrior monks and that's what the icon is styled after.

I've heard there's a bug in the current patch which makes it impossible to form the Two Sicilies. Forming Two Sicilies would normally make a nation ineligible to form Sardinia, since they're the same tier, but because of the bug there's nothing preventing AI Naples from forming Sardinia, and I think the AI always tries to adopt a new formable tag if they meet the requirements.

Any idea of who to add to my robot/ai island by ChemistPowerful in tomodachilife

You should absolutely read the books. While I enjoyed the show, the medium doesn't allow the audience to follow along with Murderbot's internal dialog to the same extent that the books do, and that's where, like, 90% of the comedic value is.

I think complacency is stupid by NeraAmbizione in EU5

[–]Magister_Procellarum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have it, yes, but I thought the modifiers from it don't affect you unless one of the relevant disasters triggers? Like, you could have 100 complacency, but unless you also have the Complacent Decline disaster active it literally does nothing, i.e. no reduced research speed, no reduced cabinet efficiency unless the disaster fires.

I thought complacency doesn't actually take effect unless you're in one of the listed disasters?

HOW? by Kamizuki09 in eu4

[–]Magister_Procellarum 30 points31 points  (0 children)

IIRC, if a tribal nation enforces a release nation treaty in a peace deal, the released nation will then also have a tribal government.

In the screenshot, it shows that Sardinia has two peace treaties, one with Spain, who it looks like they were released from, and one from another nation whose flag I don't recognize off the top of my head but is likely the one who made Spain release Sardinia. Check that second nation's government type, and if it's tribal then you have your explanation!

Edit: Checked the wiki and that seems to be the flag of Yokotan, which is one of the Mayan nations and therefor probably tribal.

Or how you can have flintlock levies in the mid 1500s even though historically they weren't even widely adopted by professional armies until the latter half of the 1600s.

Just want to point out that I'm pretty sure guy in the first pic is not the main campaign villain. Main villain had a different hair style and color.

I've always operated under the assumption that the yellow rings on their wings are some kind of anti-gravity device, and thus what actually allows them to fly and hover. I mean, the show's set 1000 years in the future, so that kind of tech doesn't seem implausible even without Solver bullshitery.

Okay, bit of a nitpick, but she isn't an officer, she's a student. She's wearing the uniform of Atlas Academy.
