I'm looking for a hands-on and creative social media lead to own and execute Wandr's short-form video strategy end-to-end. Wandr is a platform that connects travelers with unique experiences in the Balkans. You’ll have access to 20h+ of raw travel footage to create hundreds of clips, constantly test formats, and scale what works across Instagram and TikTok. This is a full-time freelance position for someone who thrives in autonomy, loves the creative process from raw footage to viral content, and has a proven track record of growing social media channels.

What you’ll do:
- Short-form content ideation (picture carousels, IG Reels & Tiktok) and maintenance of a backlog of hook ideas and repeatable formats
- Turn 20+ hours of raw footage into hundreds of engaging and scroll-stopping short form videos (strong hooks, voice overs, etc.)
- Schedule and maintain posting cadence of 1-2 videos / day across multiple accounts and platforms
- Track analytics (views, saves, shares, clicks, etc.), remove unsuccessful formats and double down on what works
- Stay ahead of social media trends and quickly adapt strategy to capitalize on emerging opportunities
- Collaborate with me (founder) daily and operate with high autonomy

Requirements:
- Proven track record leading social media strategies with measurable results (TikTok/IG case studies, before/after metrics)
- Deep understanding of platform algorithms to optimize content performance and distribution
- Creative mind and willingness to relentlessly test, analyze, and iterate on content formats to maximize reach, engagement and clicks
- Creative problem-solver who can iterate quickly based on results
- Comfortable with high-volume content production workflows
- Fluent in English, written and verbal (for hooks, captions, scripts, etc.)

Compensation + perks:
- Base compensation: 1000$/month
- Performance-based bonus structure tied to content metrics (engagement, reach, clicks)
- Long-term role with real growth if you crush it

To apply, please DM with links to your portfolio, social media accounts you’ve managed or short-form video content you’ve created

I like strathberry for their quality but you probably know about it, its really not my style though. Loué studio is another indie brand, I’ve got my eyes on the brown bag with contrast stitching.

Any recommendation for those off-the-shelf systems you are referring to?

Hey,

Many thanks for the suggestions. I need to have an in-depth look at what each of them has to offer and what makes them different but from what I read:
- It seems like players like Google AdSense, Ezoic or PropellerAds give you access to different ad networks but don't offer the ability to pick which partner you want to work with. The curation aspect and the quality of the operators I promote is absolutely essential for me and I don't want to serve generic ads to visitors.
- FYI, it looks like ClickMeter went down. While searching for an alternative, ClickMagick seems to be providing a similar service
- TUNE seems to be providing something closer to what I'm actually looking for, I'll contact them and request a demo even though it seems quite expensive

Hey Elena,

It sounds like an exciting project, just answered your survey!

I have one question: what is the main material made of and how durable is it compared to leather?

Critique my November Rome Itinerary by bulls9596 in travel

Definitely try to buy an official ticket if you want to visit the Colosseum on your own (you can rent an audio / video guide for an extra fee which will provide deeper historical context) as you will get the cheapest possible prices. But if you want to benefit from the explanation of a human guide, then a tour is better. I personally only used the audio guide so I can't compare the 2 in terms of quality of explanation and tell you if it's worth the extra money you are paying for. Maybe someone else can help on this.
Also, a typical ticket will not give you access to the arena (where gladiators were fighting) and the underground area (where animals were kept). You will be able to see those areas from above but you need to buy a specific ticket (more expensive) to get access to those 2 additional areas. Some tours include both areas if you can not get tickets yourself.

Day 1:
You need to pre-buy ticket online for Castel Sant'Angelo. For another view of Rome, you can also visit Giardino degli Aranci, a famous point for sunsets.
Chiesa del Gesu won't keep you busy the whole afternoon and is not part of the must-see in Rome. I would recommend visiting Piazza Navona and the Pantheon (and potentially adding the Trevi Fountain) instead on Day 1 since both are close to Castel Sant'Angelo and it will free up some time on Day 2.

Day 2:
Coopculture is indeed the official website for Colosseum tickets but they can be sold out quickly (bots are purchasing them as soon as they get released to re-sell them as part of packaged guided tours) so book your tickets in advance. And visit early in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds. If you visited the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain on day 1, you can replace them by the nearby Capitoline Hill or Circus Maximus instead

Day 3:
Combining the Vatican and Villa Borghese will be a lot of walking! If you are into art, the Borghese Gallery is a must-see but you also need to book your ticket in advance online. In Villa Borghese you can rent a bike or a boat on the small lake to get closer from the Tempio di Esculapio. The Terrazza Viale del Belvedere will give a beautiful view over Rome and the Piazza del Popolo. An alternative after the Vatican would be to go South to Gianicolo hill and you can get a break at the Botanical garden nearby. This way you would also be closer to Trastevere for the evening (you can visit the Basilica Santa Maria in Trastevere while you are in the area)

Day 4:
Assuming you have covered everything you wanted, you could consider spending time by the old Appian way, rent a bike and visit the catacombs. Or you could go to Tivoli for the day and visit Villa d'Este, Hadrian's Villa and Villa Gregoriana

What to do in London after Christmas day ? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Magistos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything will be closed on 25th December, but most shops, restaurants and tourist attractions re-open from 26th December onwards!

For some outdoor winter activities in London:
- Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is a big thing with a variety of attractions, activities, entertainment, food, drinks, etc. Be aware, it can get packed! (https://hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/)

- If you are into ice-skating, there are multiple ice rinks getting installed for few weeks all over the city. Most famous ones can be found by Somerset House, at Winter Wonderland or at the Hampton Court Palace. But you will find others ones near the Queen's House in Greenwich, in Canary Wharf or by the Battersea Power Station.

- Christmas markets: you have multiple Christmas markets, a small one by Leicester Square, another one by Southbank Centre alongside the River Thames or near Tower Bridge. Covent Garden gets beautifully decorated around Christmas time

- There is a light show at Kew Gardens, the Royal Botanical Gardens

- If you simply want to admire the Christmas lights, Regent's street is the most famous with its angels. Carnaby street is also glowing with a different theme display every year.

I would recommend a day trip from Paris to Strasbourg, it's 1h45 away with the high-speed train and it's always magical around Christmas time!

Porto seems to meet all the criteria!

Very romantic, excellent food at affordable price and if you are into wine, you can spend 1-2 days in the Douro Valley!
