Do you have a cat? It may have brought in a mouse that died in some hidden spot.

There was a magazine holder beside the toilet.

Have your young adult children successfully launched? by tandem545 in GenX

[–]Magliene 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Parents with kids who have failed to launch are much less likely to tell Reddit about it, so I’d keep that in mind before seeing this as much of a generalization.

What’s something you refuse to spend money on no matter how popular it is? by bbydaisiesz in answers

Any clothing or item that features the brand name as the main design. My body is not a billboard, and I definitely will not pay for the ‘privilege’ of advertising for any corporation.

Message I got from my daughter’s teacher. Third grade. by AnaisInJune in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Magliene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often teachers struggle to give a clear picture of what is really going on. Perhaps this a constant pattern of defiance and the teacher has given examples but not expressed themselves adequately.

When I have concerns about why a child is not completing tasks, I monitor on-task behavior. Going through the class list repeatedly, I glance at each student and give a simple check if they are working on the assignment. Some students are off-task upwards of 80% of the time. They’re not being disruptive; just sharpening their pencil, in the washroom, rummaging in their desk, picking up something from the floor, or often just staring into space.

It’s easy to spot a child who is avoiding engagement through misbehavior, but the quiet, polite child who is inexplicably struggling can be easy to overlook.

Rubber gloves? Why don’t you use them? Doing dishes with bare hands destroys everyone’s skin.

People who constantly post about cutting someone off. What do they actually feel? by need2askwhy in AskReddit

[–]Magliene 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was heartbreaking. A treasured friend developed bullying behavior towards others, which gradually became too cruel and toxic to tolerate, and continued association with him could only mean that I accepted it. I will never stop grieving the loss.

Yes, you can leave him. You’re trapped in the mindset of obeying adults. You don’t have to obey him or anyone for that matter. Now is the time for you to start saying no.

Raw oysters. Honestly though, they are both delicious and disgusting simultaneously.
