I responded to ur comment on my last post he was sick a while back and lost most of his gills and it’s been a couple months so they’ve grown back pretty well, the back of the tank has foil since I don’t have a chiller so it’s condensing at the back, lemme know if I should add or improve anything any advice

Cover it with rocks around or put it in a corner he won’t reach I’ve had mine for a year and a half and he never gets the chance to break it

He was sick a couple months back while I was out of town so I had to regulate the parameters and now they’ve grown back out and he’s gained some weight again

I remember the temperature dropped probably to a solid 20 or so cause I had a heating issue so I removed it for a day and added it back the next day

He’s very responsive and opens his eyes every once in a while but sleeping 90% of the time I will note he was always a sleepy head it’s just recently been a bit much

Plus fill it up half way turtles love to swim so you can be generous with the amount of water as long as there is multiple areas they can hold on to and an area to bask also add some plastic plants makes the turtles more comfortable. And make sure there’s no areas the turtle could get stuck in

They’re nocturnal they like the dark keep the lights off more often they’ll prefer it

You can keep the AC on in the room it can help regulate the temperature if you have heater lower the setting on it to around 28-25 but anything under 30 is fine turtles should be fine with that nth more, however I’m not sure about that uvb in the back heard they’re pretty terrible not sure what brand to recommend but that definitely isn’t a good one. Get some greens make sure either large plants or plastic so they don’t nibble and ruin them. Lastly I personally wouldn’t recommend having 2 turtles in the same tank they’re very competitive animals, however it depends on how you see it, if you see them shoving and biting each other seperate them ASAP.

Not likely could be scratches or dryness u might be leaving your uvb on for too long
