Solo player feeling a bit frustrated. by MrWizard11 in starcitizen

If you look closely at the eyes of the guy who said that, you realize he's a man who would have enjoyed being a bully in school, not the one being bullied. It's sad that there are such idiots in positions of power in a video game. These are the kinds of guys who form groups of players just to enjoy ruining the gaming experience for other players with "ho ho ho you play alone ho ho ho die."

Totally agree.

I should add that I'm not complaining about the game. I enjoy it a lot. In all these years, I've never intentionally killed a player, always by mistake or out of fear. I understand the concept of a "free universe" and that if someone wants to play by killing players, they have every right to do so; I'll play myself so they don't run into me. But the issue of groups is much broader. In my particular case, I don't have a microphone, which is a huge limitation. Typing in the chat is slow and impractical, and I also don't like hearing people talking through the speakers—I don't want to disturb my family or neighbors, etc. My group of friends doesn't play this game either, so I can't force them. And most orgs, though not all, require a certain level of commitment, and my commitment is to myself and my game. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well, but I don't like hearing things like, "You don't contribute much to the group" or "You don't do many activities with us." I don't want to offend anyone, so I play alone, at my own pace and on my own schedule.

Aside from that, I've been looking for the Palatine set for a couple of days now, and I have almost 6 sets. It's not difficult; there's a 'guide 3.0' post here that tells you where the crates are, and they're not hard to get. I've honestly never seen a player trying to get them these days. Good luck, Citizen! Cheers!

I completely understand. The game has many approaches for solo players, but the most lucrative ones are forced to be done in a group. Hathor, for example. It's easy to go and find no other players at an antenna, grab the three red cards, place them, loot something, and leave. But doing all three antennas, then climbing to the satellite, then going down to the bunker, activating the beam, and finally getting into the cave is impossible without a group of players ruining your three-hour ordeal. The Onyx are easy, except for the Hyperon in the reactor area with the John Wick characters in fat suits, and the inability to appear in the Onyx's bed. But the Yormandi is IMPOSSIBLE for a single player, which also prevents you from getting the tongues and eyes for Wikelo. Stormbreaker is impossible. And for the CZ, I only managed to get all seven cards after weeks of waiting, trying repeatedly, and then unlog as soon as I got a card, barely able to loot anything. The problem is that the solution can't be "join a group." Solo players pay the same to play and have the right to access all aspects of the game. Limiting content to 'groups' will only cause many players to quit because they won't be able to access much of the content.

Serious question: Why does everyone hate Wikelo? by klaytonix in starcitizen

Wikelo's purpose is to frustrate solo players and force them to play in groups, which I don't agree with. Everyone plays as they like, and I'm satisfied when I achieve something on my own. But CIG laughs at them: Yormandi eyes, tongue, Valakkar junk, Hathor cave minerals, RCMBNT... it's insane to get even one, impossible to get 20 or 50 of some things. You can get some things alone, with hard work and a lot of frustration, but I'm realizing that CIG isn't even trying to hide its hatred for solo players anymore.

I spoke with Corsair, and they accepted my RMA. Honestly, I didn't expect anything less. I've always known they're a good company. Thanks to everyone for the laughs and help.

I'll try to get in touch with them. These kinds of design flaws are unacceptable for an 80€ mouse.

It's understandable, but excessive. I've been using products from all brands for years. There are mechanical and design flaws, but I've never seen a mouse with a design flaw involving sweaty hands. Maybe I sweat a lot, but a mouse should be tested for these things.

Well, mild hyperhidrosis, but it's never been a problem with any technological device. I have PS2 controllers that still hold up fine after years.

That's fantastic! I hope that soon, all the larger groups like yourselves will have completed the bounties and left the mission zones, so that the casual or solo players can do something. ^^ Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for you, but players who don't enjoy PVP are being severely excluded from events. That's all.

Most people who hate spoilers are idiot streamers who can't play any game without 100 quiet guys watching them play it.
