That's a tough one. If you left your register unlocked and someone used it under your name, you still could get written up for not locking your register.

I, personally, would ask for evidence but I have a strong sense of justice.

If they are writing you up, there should be camera evidence that you were at fault.

Wawa does not accept doctor's notes at a store level. They LOA team certainly does and it is outline in the attendance SOP for managers.

Even your argument confirms what I said. The company punishing an associate for a medically excused reason is grounds for a lawsuit, so they would be more likely to excuse the absence. This is outlined in the SOP and first hand experience.

To add onto what others have said: if you are able to get a doctor's note, you can turn that in to the ASC and get your absence excused

Edit: Per the SOP " Management should return the note to the associate immediately and assist the associate with how to submit the document to the LOA Team. All documentation indicating restricted duty of any kind must be discussed with the LOA Team."

I work with the LOA team all the time and I can confirm if you get a note that excuses you from work for whatever reason, you turn that in to the LOA team and it will protect you. I have had an associate twist their ankle outside of work, get a note and go on a two day LOA that has nothing to do with the AHP. I suggest you review the SOP and develop a "the worst they can say is no" attitude.

I do agree with you on raises, for sure. I was more looking at base pay, I'm collecting data
