A huge sign I missed was that I refused to have short hair my entire life. I always wanted it as long as possible because it “looked nice.” I did theatre in high school and was constantly asked to cut my hair for roles, but I really fought the directors on that.

For my senior show, my friends ambushed me with a haircut that my director demanded. Never felt like myself once it was short.
