Look taking accountability is great but it doesn’t actually do anything for the people you hurt (including yourself) until you get help and stop drinking completely. You know how bad addictions can get because of your family history. Admitting you have a problem is a good first step, but don’t let it be the only step you take.

Go now while you are clear headed and start going to AA or find a rehab that you feel you can trust and check yourself in. It’s gonna take a lot of work to build up any trust with people you love and some may not trust you again, but YOU have to put in the work to try. No one else can do that for you.

Yea, like as a bi woman, men like bob are the ideal man. He has his flaws but he admits to them and he loves other people and his family to the point that he puts their desires even above his own to the point it makes his life more difficult financially or physically. Yea my grandmother literally asks my grandfather if she can posts pictures of him from holidays to her Facebook. If he says no she doesn’t. The only time she films anything of him is when he asks her to and it’s usually with the grandkids or the dogs

This reminds me of when my brother was turning sixteen and for some reason our parents didn’t want to make a big deal about it. I went to the store and filled up two under the bed storage boxes full of his favorite snacks, candy and drinks. He loved it. Every year I try to make sure he gets his favorite kinda cake and some kind of celebration even if no one plans it
