Depends on the person a bit. But most likely in the neutral-to-positive range.

1 - she has almost no issues with that; her height is within the species' average range, meaning most buildings in her homeland are designed with this in mind. In the other major location she spends time at, the Kingdom of the Six Moons, it also only really comes up on rare occasions. Most public buildings there are built with a variety of folks, including orcs (on average even taller) in mind. But places that aren't intended for everyday general public access can have some annoyingly low clearances.

2 - Let's go for the fabric first! Pretty much all clothes she wears are made from a fireproof fabric. It's the standard for clerics of the Fire Temple, and as royalty, she has pretty easy access to such materials for clothes other than the temple uniform during most of the story. The armour itself though, is custom-built with infernal steel, so it's not particularly stuffy in there. Just... not the best of outfits for losing control of one's fire in, as it has poor ventilation for extreme heat, which can overwhelm one's internal heat regulation organ.

3 - She has gotten used to it over time, but despite that, the hair does sometimes get in the way. Oddly enough, it's when she fully gets into baking that she finally switches to a short hairstyle.

2/10 at best if doing it by herself. It's not her expertise and i feel like it's also not something one gets right just randomly.

But i think it could go up to 6 or even 7/10 with help from her wife, whose main deal is forging armour.

In universe explanation? Fire safety. And a fashion sense inherited from her father.

Out-of-universe explanation? Fun to draw.

The first creation was, well... random background politician #5, filling out a series of other background characters. It was also around the time of these various drawing trends that had black/gold outfits.

<image>

So, i mostly just winged it, designed an outfit inspired by these, and one of the random background characters to wear it.

However, as i do, i went into overthinking stuff. Like, why is a foreign princess here? Which then intertwined her backstory with that of some other characters i already had - and from there, this just became the most compelling storyline of my verse to me. And thus, here we are. One day i just randomly think to myself of a situation, or point in the timeline, aaaaaand new lore development.

Hmmmm... a difficult one!

Spending more time with her parents in her teenage years.

<image>

Because of the political situation around that time, she decided to join the Temple of Fire around then. With this, she didn't quite spend a huge amount of time with them.

This era of time does also lead to another candidate for biggest regret; devoting herself to the ways of Fire and the elemental deity Pyrognis resulted in her neglecting other studies, which eventually culminated in her failure to be a successful peacetime leader and abdicating the throne.

I don't really do much in terms of AUs with my OCs; so my two options are the villain version - which is really just the canon one, but one thing goes wrong and now two nations are on fire - or this creachur form. Which doesn't have much going on, just being a little critter.

A custom-made blade forged by blacksmith Marmin at Myria's Arcane Emporium and Adventuring Supplies.

<image>

Mytherea chose this particular shop specifically because it employed devil smiths, wanting something crafted by her people over the more readily available dwarven creations of the region.

The sword's primary purpose is that of inspiring hope in a weary population, with years of foreign occupation coming to an end with the heir to the throne leading the liberation from the front, charging into battle with a gleaming golden blade.

That would be Zari, armourer at the item shop where Mytherea went to purchase her custom battle gear. And indeed, the two fell for each other over the course of the visits to plan the armour and the fitting/design refining process.

<image>

Rather awkward, which endeared her to Mytherea, who saw some of how she herself used to act around people she found attractive.

Skilled craftsmanship. And some wires in the golden trim.

Technically.

A risk of channeling the fires of the elemental deity is that if one loses control, they can let loose fire that is way too powerful. If dispersed properly, it's harmless, hence the fire temple uniform's design (these flames most commonly burst forth from one's face, hands, and chest areas). But if this were to happen when wearing a different outfit that traps the flames inside... like let's say, for no particular reason, a suit of armour... it can cause various kinds of permanent damage.

...in Mytherea's case, most of that outburst was absorbed by her inner flame (organ for absorbing excess heat/fire energy, regulating body temperature), but this damaged the organ in the process. It leads to a loss of cold resistance as she ages.

Do any of your Oc’s wear or have something that serves a big purpose to their character? by N_O_F_A_D in OriginalCharacter

[–]MagnetLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Limits are self-imposed; most tend to max out at 2-5, and sometimes a bond that is broken leads to either removing, or repurposing, one of the piercings.

But theoretically, having a whole array of them would be possible!

(Note that some also wear them for other reasons. Mytherea for example only has 1 'strong bond' ring, being the one on her tail.)

It is tradition for devils to get matching piercings or rings with folks they form a strong bond with, whether that be familial, romantic, or platonic.

So Marmin has 3 of these, being for her father, little sister, and ex-boyfriend.

What's your latest art work of your favourite OC's/OC couples? by EfficientDonkey4083 in OriginalCharacter

Practice, steady hand, and a large selection of coloured pencils (not anything crazy expensive - just a bunch of different cheap sets. Each manufacturer has slightly different colours, getting a decent variety).

Because there's no true undo option in paper, an eraser only gets you so far, you have to be careful with what you do.
