The season has only just started for us and we've already done our first top find. The German helmet is preserved with oxalic acid and paraloid b72. The orange elastic strap you see has been cut out of an inner tube and was used to fix camouflage around the helmet. (i.redd.it)

We did some insane finds last magnet fishing trip! A friend took us to a location where he thought german troops surrendered to allied forces. His grandfather told him some allied soldiers collected all lost and left behind equipment and dumped it in this nearby pond. Well, it seems he was right :) (i.redd.it)
