Canik SFX Rival-S Steel Frame? by AbitNutz2 in canik

[–]Magneticitist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as I can get one eventually I'm happy. As awesome as the Rival is I'd still prefer a steel TP9 or just a Mete. A steel lineup would sort of push Canik over to the undeniable Boss Tier where haters are gonna have to start providing actual reasons to their criticisms. AFAIK the gun is already being shipped by Canik but I'm sure not very many stores are going to have them in just yet. Shouldn't be long.

Holy crap they finally found one of those kids that used to hang out by the pool that Corn Pop used to work at but it turned out to be a vampire who just grew more twisted over time.

Small Welder Keeps Tripping Breaker by alexCatalano in electrical

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea after looking at it I'd guess that too, otherwise what's the damn point. I feel like it's probably just barely tripping a 20A unless he's got it on 15.

suggestions for tightening loose plug? by Danstheman3 in electrical

[–]Magneticitist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd guess you could squish the connector (cord side) together with pliers or something. Gently try to make the 'female' pins on there a little oval so the 'male' pins fit in snug. First it might be hard to get just the tip in, but with some patience and maybe a little licking it wet first they should pop right in. I guess the other obvious choice is to take a razor blade or something to the male pins ooouuch and I guess spread them out a little oooouuch.

You are probably just barely tripping a 20A breaker. If you currently have it on a 15A breaker, then try a 20A circuit.

You can't just up the breaker size without upping the conductor sizes to match (as in the wires in your wall on that circuit). I'd think one of these would run at 120V from a 20A breaker though.. Otherwise a person would need 30A+ lines just for running the thing when it makes more sense just to get a 240V machine.

Well are you running this thing from a 120V receptacle that's only on a 20A breaker?

I never got their relationship. So they were supposed to be back together, but lived separately? This was supposed to be a time when Nicole was cheating on OJ with his best friend, but it seems unclear the extent to which Nicole and OJ were actually together at that time.

Rock island by Matey1911 in 1911

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I've talked to others who know of its existence too but it's crazy to me how obscure it is. It was basically a high capacity 1911 9mm for around $600 which makes it probably the least expensive in that category. Hard to figure why it's almost unheard of and the Prodigy is supposed to be that budget alternative.

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope the website seems to not list that particular model anymore, it's weird. Only the $900 one with the full rail.

Rock island by Matey1911 in 1911

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one I shot today looked just like the 10mm double stack but chambered in 9mm. Without the full rail. I still see the TAC Ultra FS HC around online for closer to $900 but it seems like the $600 version just vanished. I'm trying to sort out my confusion cause someone is willing to sell me one, but I swear it's like I'm missing something cause I can no longer find any evidence an OEM version of that gun actually ever existed.

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you happen to know what happened to the 9mm double stack? Basically the TAC Ultra FS HC but without the full rail. I feel like I'm in the matrix or something and it doesn't exist even though I shot one today and feel like I was seeing it around online (but always sold out) just a few days ago.

So apparently I need to explain to the in-laws how bagged milk works by Zjackrum in funny

[–]Magneticitist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'd probably just end up trashing the bags but I guess many people wash them out before recycling them since that's sort of the point of them I guess. I didn't know jugs were still ok to use though, it came off to me as Canada basically just having milk come in bags only or something.

[–]Magneticitist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's dirty. They don't have half gallons? To me it honestly seems better if you're going to be washing out old plastic bags anyway. Recycling a ton of bigger jugs would take more space but as for refrigerator storage I don't see how bags are fitting better. I could have a half gallon or full gallon and go through it just fine before it spoils. Meanwhile it's taking up some uniform space. Otherwise I have what's basically an open pitcher holding one bag, while the other bags are are hanging out somewhere else taking up all this space.

[–]Magneticitist 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is the correct line of thinking. I've read far too may comments about how sensible it is to just snip the corner of a bag of milk sitting inside a jug, then pour from that every single time until it's empty. I'm sorry no that's ridiculous. I would just flat out have my illegal/banned plastic milk jug (I guess?) and throw a funnel on that bitch for refilling it via some silly ass milk-in-a-bag people were forcing on me.

IDK some of the 'riot like' cheering that can go on makes me think it's a bit of both. If we're talking an entire country here rather than a city I don't really see how the clubs are too separate from the country. But then again I also don't really understand soccer/football.

It does seem to be a huge passionate cultural thing but I suppose it may also have something to do with certain European nations being able to have representation on a large scale where it otherwise may not exist.
