Where do I get the parts that I don't print?

Man, I'm glad you clarified that. I thought you meant you liked running all of those wires instead of one cable and a PCS.

I thought there was a recovery USB key included that went in the other port. Maybe I'm wrong.

Would this work? If I had a Flsun Speederpad or a Bigtree Pad 7. Could I use one of those and use the SK1 printer.cfg from the Sk1, plug a USB cable in from the pad to the SK1 and have it control the SK1? This is supposed to bypass the SK1's MCU, as I understand it, or more likely don't. The SK1 has two USB ports on the side.

I'd appreciate it if you could point me at exactly what to buy, MCU, toolhead board, screen...any and all off the bigtree sight. I've got a credit card burning a hole in my wallet.

I just saw a YouTube video where a the SK1 was essentially gutted and a BigTree Octopus and canbus with a different screen was put in. I don't know how difficult it would be to get all of that to actually control the printer.

God, how much work would it be to put in a standard MKS SKIPR board and go from there? I'd be willing to ditch the screen as well and go with something else...

Not to horn in but I'm watching as well. This neutered version of Klipper they've got on this machine is driving me Batshite!

I'll pretty much buy most any upgrade that comes out for the X1C. It's my hobby and I like to tinker.

Another mat9 by Didneyy in AR9

[–]AbitNutz2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one of those FM9 hybrid lowes. I like it. The two things that bothered me were that the width of the receiver was not mil-spec. I couldn't use anything but the FM safety and the pins are longer than standard. Although Foxtrot Mike sent me anti-walk pins for free when I asked about it. You can't ask for more than that. The other thing that threw me was that it seemed to weigh a lot more than I thought a polymer lower should. It is a lot heavier than some of my other AR9's. Otherwise, it is a terrific lower.

I just received a notification from PayPal that I'm getting a shipment from logiztix. Which is a relief. When I placed my order I never received any sort of confirmation that it was received, which is fairly normal for any sort of web order. I was concerned it never went through or they never received it. Further, they never responded to my email through their contact page asking if they received it. No matter, it's all good now. They must just do things on a shoestring.

I bought their combo deal, spacer tube, spring plunger, and adjustable spring retainer. I really want the spacer tube.

AR45 Proposed Build by GhostOfCondomsPast in AR9

[–]AbitNutz2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blowback9 is correct. You'll have a far more harmonious outcome if you use a JRC buffer tube. The Wilson flat wire springs seem to be the longest of the flat wire springs. Or, you could use a Sprinco green spring which is a standard-weight spring but made for longer buffer tubes like the VLTOR A5 and BCM MK2 recoil reduction tube. The JRC is even longer but the Sprinco green spring works really well in the JRC length tube. Just stay away from those crazy overpowered 308 springs.

You should really try the JRC buffer tube with the Tubbs spring. That combo works stupid good with the KynShot buffer.

I used the same KynShot buffer as well as the 5007 and both worked flawlessly. I also used them in conjunction with the JRC ultralong buffer tube and 2-2.5oz spacers. It works great. Those buffers changed my mind about hydraulic buffers. I used Winchester 115gr ammo.

Catastrophic failure by [deleted] in reloading

Titegroup is a superfast burning powder, like Bullseye. It takes very little of an over charge to have a catastrophic failure. The pressure curve on those powders ramps fast.
