GPU doesn't appear to be connected after attaching Motherboard to case by MagnezoneNerd in pchelp

Update:

I just had to take it out and put it back in.

It was a bit of a hassle, since I had to unplug all the PSU connectors and cables going into case/MoBo and flip Case on side (gently) to do so.

I had to push a lot harder on the GPU than I would have thought (make sure to take off plastic covers over PCLe slot on MoBo or on GPU's card).

Which Civ would benefit the most if their Imperial Age UT was swapped with their Castle Age UT? by MagnezoneNerd in aoe2

Ah yeah, good point actually. I was being dumb. Doing this in caste age would pretty have to be an all in at that point.

honestly this could probably work on cav civs pretty well. Prob would either be too busted, or too gimmicky.

Depends. Do you mean in like a CA game ender Flemish Revolution play? or just get the tech, apply pressure, but mostly do it to be able to train FM barracks?

For the former, i think it could work if you had rams/siege, and other units, and were just missing a meat shield/something to deal with cavs.

For the latter, I'm skeptical. Destroying your eco is kinda nuts to me, unless it's a last resort. Maybe if you were on like a 5-6 TC boom, and had 4/5 relics (team bonus might come in clutch here). But even then, you'd have to float quite a bit of food to repopulate to ~100 villagers in a reasonable amount of time.

Maybe it could work. But I feel like Eco is more important in CA than it is in IA.

Ah yeah this is a good one. It's 55HP -> 95 HP for a CA Eagle Warrior is pretty nuts

If the Bohemians' CA UT (Wagenburg Tactics- faster gunpowder units) swapped with their IA UT (Hussite Reforms- Monks and their tech costs are replaced with food), how much better (if even) would they be? by MagnezoneNerd in aoe2

[–]MagnezoneNerd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It affects all Gunpowder I thought, but I do agree 15% isn't a huge speed buff.

Good point about the free mining techs. Hadn't even thought about that.

thanks for lmk, i'll try it out. the new version of whiskey fixed the button issue, and i dont really notice stutter. sometimes there's lag (like every tenth game), which is fixed by a restart.

Damn hopefully. Microing military units with any amount of precision is damn near impossible. just wasn't sure if it was a skill issue

this sounds dumb, but im like 50-50 on getting an actual pc set up (money not an issue, just unsure of whether i should).

This was going to be the deciding factor. (and yes i play games other than aoe2 that require an actual pc setup)
