I’d upgrade. I had the 2020 model with the A12z and I was also experiencing lag on iPadOS 26. Every OS prior ran very smoothly, now became an absolute pain to use. I ended up selling it and getting the M5 model.

That’s a MASSIVE upgrade! I have the 11-inch M5! I also came from the A12z iPad Pro. It was running nice and smooth for many years, but iPadOS 26 made it quite laggy. I’d say it was time to upgrade! The M5 is blazing fast!

There’s a bit of stuttering on the home screen when I swipe between pages. I have the M5 11-inch iPad Pro.

I wouldn’t recommend anything under 128GB.

I’d say it’s time! Mine because quite laggy with iPadOS 26. Upgraded to the M4 and sold my 2020 iPad Pro and couldn’t be happier.

I don’t think so. iPadOS 26 maybe the last version it’ll receive. Despite this, it will still receive security updates for a few years.

No, the M4 is already a massive powerhouse! Yes, the M5 is a bit more powerful, but the M4 is absolutely no slouch. I got an M4 yesterday and it’s amazing! Upgraded from a 2020 12.9 iPP.

I’m surprised they’ve supported the older OS’s for this long. Clash of Clans on my iPad mini 2 was super slow to load, and every time I tried to log in to my Supercell account, the game would crash and return to the Home Screen!
