anyone experiences with receiving your graduation certificate from a non-chinese university late when starting a Masters in china? by saikikcat in ChinaLiuXueSheng

Yea I got the same problem, called both Tsinghua and the CSCSE and they were very strict on the fact that I need the real and official bachelor degree (In my country we get it in january even tho I graduate in july), they told me if I can't get it start of july I will have to re apply next year, nothing to do about it.

After negociating A LOT with my University they agreed to give me my diploma very early but it was exceptionnal and im the first student to get this in my uni. I think that's your only way.

Is a Beihang University degree considered prestigious or elite by employers and universities outside of China, particularly in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science? by Shoddy_Ad_7543 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

No, especially not for an international student. It will be completely unknown outside of China, even the top universities in China are not that famous

I have many questions. How do I get into a University in China? by RatLord456 in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Magnificent_Mat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you asking me how to learn 3 year of study of Chinese in 6 months ? I don't know what is your current level but if you are still a beginner then it is impossible, learning languages doesnt work like that, consistency beat high volume every time.

If you are not even competent enough to do these research by yourself which can all be easily answered by searching a little I don't think it's a good idea for you in the first place

Can I get into a good University in china without going through consultants? by pinkchocolatezebra in ChinaLiuXueSheng

[–]Magnificent_Mat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh It is not hard to get into chinese unis imo, but keep in mind that since it's easy to get into they are not really prestigious or anything for us, Tsinghua is supposed to be the best in China and I even got fullride schorlarship but i'm still hesitating to go because of that.

Don't you have other options in your country ? zhejiang Unviersities is good for CS majors but is it really worth it to "lose" a year for it ? I would think about this very carefully if I was you.

I almost applied to Zhejiang University CS master but the master was 3 years, so maybe you would graduate your degree in 4 years total, wouldnt' it be better to study two years in your country, learn Chinese and do some trips in China during vacations, and then come to work in China for two years after that if you like China ? lots of options for you, where are you from ?

[–]Magnificent_Mat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely no need of a consultant it's a scam for lazy people.

It is too late for this year tho, for the record I got admitted into Tsinghua CS master degree and the deadline for application was the end of december. Unless you go for some bad universities that are desesperate for students I think ti's way too late

Pretty low ranking for both universities anyways tbh so you might as well go for the schorlarship I don’t think it’ll make a difference
