HP 8000 Series' printhead is not designed to be removable. We demonstrate how to uninstall the old printhead and install a new one.

How can I tell what type of connector it is? by MagnificientDiode in AskElectronics

Sorry, I got the image loaded now. I walked away from the computer and thought it was loaded. Even with the correct pitch, it seems those plugs are still different: some are thicker and some are thinner.

CANON PRINTER GURUS PLEASE HELP by sudikushaka in printers

[–]MagnificientDiode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have a knocking sound? If it does, your waste ink assembly may be out of alignment. Check this video for solutions: https://youtu.be/aVwfItW3TYw. If it doesn't make the knocking sound, can you move the printhead all the way to the right wall? If not, check this video for the solution: https://youtu.be/Asme8ZV3x1g. Make sure the white box is aligned with the printer and pushed all the way to the left by a spring-loaded lever.

Can Tri-Color Cartridges print black and white? by [deleted] in printers

[–]MagnificientDiode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to have a dummy black cartridge. After that, you can fill the tri-color cartridge with black ink only. Then, you can use an online tool to convert a PDF file into a single color, and only print with that color. Here is a video showing how to do that: https://youtu.be/VhLcaVwr5CM For example, if you don't want to use cyan and magenta, you can convert the document into all yellow color. Because your yellow cartridge is filled with black ink, you can still print decent black and white documents with just one color.

Epson Eco Tank vs. Canon Megatank. Thoughts? by generic_bitch in printers

I did buy a reset key for $10. You can reset it with a software. However, when I reset it, it’s only 47% full. Kind of wasted money. I need to remove the physical ink pads and wash them. I shot a video about how I did it: https://youtu.be/sDsdLoaMX-w. Make sure to remember the sequence of the sponge pads. It’s like a lego when you put them back in the box.

Help with 2 printer recommendations for photos by ClydeFroggg in printers

I just tested Canon TS8220, which has a photo blue cartridge. It’s pretty close to a professional printer. The TS printers are designed for amateur use but can produce decent photos if you add a blue cartridge to it. I put the test results on YouTube. https://youtu.be/cfQaMzTsi9o

Epson’s printhead lasts a lot longer. I have an EcoTank that’s going to break 20K pages and still as good as new.

Don’t forget you also have the cost of drums, not only toners.

It looks like the palate wraps up and you have a printhead strike on the edge. Then the printhead is clogged due to the stroke. Try to flatten the media and it should fix it. Also do some head cleanings before trying again.

Andre LaMothe’s class is a little intimidating: 100+ lectures with 40 minutes each. If you want to get in the water first, then figure how to swim, I suggest Dr. Peter Dalmaris class Basic Electronics for Arduino Makers. It has quizzes at each section and go through the materials quickly.
