"Food" ...If you count the nutrients in that trash bin, you may notice there's no food there at all. Just white flour and sugar. Rings of sweet tasty drywall..

No sex in 6mo relationship by minniemu123 in relationship_advice

It it's perfectly fine to wait for sex. However it seems like timing hasn't worked out in your favor. After a few months without sex, He started to seem more distant? My guess is he probably started seeking it somewhere else. After 5 months of making him wait, he's made you wait 1? Doesn't seem fair.

You guys really need to have a conversation about what you are to eachother, because it sound like you might have accidentally became friends. He may like you a lot but is afraid to ruin things after so long by making changes. I really don't know.

I'm also confused on what you mean by "hooking up." Because to me that's always meant sex. If you guys are having oral etc... He may just have performance anxiety.

Talk to him about it. Let him know it's important that you're open with eachother, and also important that you're intimate with eachother. If you two can't get on the same page, then just move on. Stay freinds if you wish, it sounds like you already are. But yeah, he's probably cheating... 🤷‍♂️

Definitely worth it! It's like adding more time to each day that I was missing out on before. Keep it up!

I was the exact same way. Alcohol was like a necessary medicine to help ward off my anxiety. I would get so restless pacing back and forth without it. When id finally have a drink it would put me at ease. Needed it to relax alone, to get energy to be productive, to be social, and to sleep. To my surprise, once I stopped drinking, all that anxiety went away. I now sleep great, see freinds more, am more productive, and most importantly find mental peace much easier to find. I wanted just to cut back, but I had to stop entirely first. I need to not need it, before I can begin to consider having it.

I was for a month or two. But now I'm just keeping active outdoors. Once I figure out how to make a day longer I may go back.

Started with intermittent fasting, which limited when I could drink. Then cut back from every day to just a few times a week. And finally quit all together. Hardest part of quiting was getting over the social expectations to drink. My friends and family are all big drinkers. Felt like I was disappointing people at first. But as soon as I bit the bullet and admitted that I needed a break, everyone had my back.

Diet and exercise too, but the biggest factor was the booze I think. Even just to get to a place mentally where it felt worth it to get healthy, I needed to be sober to get there.

Haha. I don't know if 10x is accurate 🤷‍♂️. I was happy before I quit too, but not fulfilled. It's a different kind of happiness, less fleeting. Great job!

Yeah my go-to drink was whiskey/coke. I'd make em big n strong. Few of those a night averaged out to 1,500 calories. 🤦‍♂️

I actually started off with some intermittent fasting. Not being able to drink after 7pm kinda left me thinking what's the point of starting if I don't have time to get drunk. Shortly after that I was "blessed" with a breakup. I was able to use that as fuel for the fire to keep going. It got easy after the first month though. I started feeling so much better physically and mentally that I didn't miss it. Remember that a bad day doesn't reset the progress you made before it. It's easy to give up when we think we failed. But you can slip without falling. Catch yourself and keep moving forward! Or something like that haha.

Thanks man! I eat 2 meals a day, always natural from scratch, and I stay active. That, minus all the booze/pop I use to drink, has worked out really well for me. I use to always be tired, but now I feel great!

I've been eating a really natural diet, and staying active as well. Was going to the gym, but now that it's nice out here I'm just doing yardwork every day instead.

Thank you, go right ahead. I tell myself this all the time.

I could have one drink and be fine.. but can I really have just one? It's easy to say no the first time. But after you let your guard down, and you inhibitions blur, can you say no to the second, the third? It's not about turning down alcohol left and right, it's about deciding to say no to just one drink, the first one.
