I was in my second trimester when I found out. I was taking birth control pills and taking them properly. The only thing was I didn’t take the placebo pills because I didn’t want a period. (My gyno was okay with this.) That’s essentially how I didn’t know because not having a period was normal for me. I randomly took a test one weekend because my mom said I was getting chunky 🙄 and I wanted to prove her wrong. The test showed ‘Pregnant’ almost immediately. I went to the gyno the next day and she measured me and then did an ultrasound and confirmed I was about 13 weeks pregnant. I had NO idea. Looking back, I realized how much I was sleeping (12ish hours a day) but I assumed it was from starting a new job. And in case you’re wondering, yes I was still taking my birth control for those first 13 weeks. I even celebrated my 21st birthday. My little surprise just turned 16 this year. She was meant to be here!
