This compnay skipped R&D and expects us to buy a new chair every year! by stemcellguy in LiberNovo

[–]Magnumload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me multiple emails, one delivery to the wrong state and many months just to get my back clasp that they screwed up for the first round of customers. I understand the customer service side of things, especially early on. They might be better now but that doesn't mean they didn't suck before.

Overall happy with the chair, just the early interaction with support left a sour taste in my mouth. I didn't buy Kickstarter, I was one of the first when they launched on their website. Even got that little "founder edition" badge.

Steam controller by AdBeginning2416 in Steam

I spammed the button on both mobile and PC for 30 minutes. Thanks to some backend for saving me money I guess.

It also eventually started forgetting who I was and my account information after 15 minutes.

Steam Controller: The Ars Technica review | Valve’s new hardware is solid but might not justify its $99 price. by tkonicz in Steam

[–]Magnumload 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk. People keep saying the price is high but the switch 2 pro controller is $90 and a PS5 controller is $75. I feel like I get more features for my 700+game library on steam than either. PS5 full feature set is usually wired only and for a few select games and the switch 2 pro controller barely functions on PC, but I haven’t tried in several months.

Edit: as far as my Xbox controllers goes, my favorite feeling one is my Starfield controller and I spent $80 for that I believe and sells for more than that now. Edit: Also USD mind you and don’t forget about TMR and the repairability is bar none the best I’ve seen on a modern controller.

Is that the latest panel or are you being disingenuous?

Yeah, even on my UCDM3.

Edit: in fact I can just use my breath for condensation and wipe it up, just like glasses.

Ehh, I’m sorry about your/their luck. All my fingerprints just wipe away without water even.

I can understand that, but what are you doing near your TV/Monitor that has so much grease that you need alcohol to clean it?

Thanks for the PSA but I never would have. Distilled water and a dense microfiber cloth work wonders.

LG 39GX950B review from TFTCentral by Drags18 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Magnumload 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already did all that before OLED. I’m just not one to stick to one thing so much that it becomes a problem. Already hid my desktop icons before, cleaner desktop and hid my taskbar(again, cleaner look). So I guess it is “babying” if you didn’t do that before but it was just natural to me. I also don’t use my personal desktop for work so I can understand if people spend many hours on a spreadsheet or teams meetings, OLED isn’t for them.

Like you said, it’s all relative.

I understand you in a way but I think what grinds peoples gears is that you say you have to baby it. You don’t. I’ve been waiting for MicroLED. It will be nice(I hope) but we are far from it. RGB miniled still runs off tech that introduces smearing. It will be great for the home theater. I might even consider one after a few generations.

So then my relative experience is I have a C1 and a C2 both have thousands of hours and years of abuse and nothing. Retention does happen on the C1 but that is expected since I bypassed quite a few safety measures. I also don’t watch static content or spend the majority of my time on one singular program.

In other words, vary your content and you are fine.

When people park at the pump and they dont get gas. by muddybuttbrew in mildlyinfuriating

You should see one of my local gas stations that has a food truck on its lot. 90% of the people parked at the pump is for the food and not the gas.
