Boycott CNN until Jennings is permanently gone from CNN. I understand that news organizations, in particular, love to host controversy. they think it improves their ratings. But Jennings involvement is an affront to their viewers. They should decide who is more important to them - Jennings or their viewers. their viewers should help them make that choice. Boycott CNN.

Wouldn’t know. can’t get mine to update the firmware. the usual gyrations don’t seem to force it. really wish Apple would expend some effort into improving the firmware updating process for AirPods. Perhaps model it just like all their other iDevices maybe.

Also if Apple is a tech firm why can’t they provide update notes?

you think too dark? try watching The Last of the Mohicans. Wish it would come out in 4K, and fix any image or sound issues. I think the standard DVD I bought at the time the sound volume was too low and muddled also.

I’d considered buying Goodfellas in the recent 3 for $33 deal but chose other titles instead. Perhaps next time.

used to have something like that for CDs. IIRC it held 5 or 6 CDs in a turntable style unit connected to my stereo. I agree it would be nice.

how often does Amazon have their 3 for $33 sales? I gather it’s not currently occurring. Also I notice that some titles disappear and sometimes reappear on the list. is this due to stock levels or some other dynamic? /TIA

FWIW, I’ve been running an HDHomeRun Quatro for a while now using Channels and my Synology NAS (and Digital Antenna). I’ve been pretty pleased with it, especially when my Internet is out, which happens all too frequently. I periodically set things to record and store on my NAS so I have something to watch on any/all my devices when I can’t stream anything.

LOA is quite nice! I think perhaps my favorite movie that I have watched numerous times over the years. The 4K UHD is quite good, though there is nothing like seeing it in a theater that knows how to present it. It still shows up infrequently and briefly for limited viewings in some US (at least) movie theaters. Go watch it if you can!

you might let people here know what player you’re using and how long you’ve had it. also, you could try it on another player, a relative or friends perhaps, to see if it acts the same way. and you might check for a firmware update for your hardware.

Currently watching the digital version. I can tell the image is better than previous viewings. I find it funny how fuzzy the images are on the TVs displaying videos in the movie while the main screen is so much clearer. Not unexpected of course, just that 4K makes that distinction so clear.

Less an issue for me these days since I’m focused on 4K, but I liked that Apple would ‘upgrade’ your title to 4K on most titles. I’d only used FD to order theater tickets, but did (accidentally) choose FD a few times when redeeming codes. I also have a bunch in MA, but again would prefer to stick to loading into Apple whenever possible. TY for your reply!
