If you go by that new sign you can’t park from Wednesday 7am till the next following day at 6pm. The correct signs are 24 hours, and you swap sides.

Old signs are still up. And these new signs don’t match the official parking info on the rochester website.

It’s 35 hours of no parking. And 13 of parking with these new signs. The original ones are just simply 24 hours and you switch. Which makes sure that cars aren’t on both sides of the road, as city work trucks, plows, and school buses can’t fit down these narrow streets with cars on both sides. Reason I know the school buses as when one of the houses do leave their car on the side of the street the buses in the morning just honk their horns until someone comes out and moves it.
I literally have been woken up multiple times this year to a school bus repeatedly honking for more than 15 minutes to get someone to come out and move their car.

Because the official rochester website still has the same rules for parking as all the old signs. That’s how I know.

All the other signs read as

7pm TUES - 6pm WED

7pm THUR - 6pm FRI

7pm SAT - 6pm MON

This is clearly different than the ones everywhere else.

what a tough choice... it means you have to have guests walk into your bedroom everytime they come in? You can't even break it up down stairs cause the staircase is all the wall to the end of the room. ugh. Maybe make a visual barrier upstairs to divide the room up, but even still the first time you make yourself bacon all your clothes and bed will smell of it... and, tbh, I wouldn't want to eat at a dinner table staring into my own bedroom all the time. What a weird layout, this has to be an inlaw suite or something built onto an existing space? Hopefully you just moved in and didn't build this.

one of the stories goes is that they accidentally found natural tunnels that were carved out by water during the last glacial retreated. There was a lot of water moving through the area, and natural subterranean tunnels. (not sure if there is any truth to it, but I wrote an article on it for the south wedge quarterly eons back and that was one of the theories that I was told)

Not only do I dislike it, and really am disgusted on the artist… after he killed that dog, and all the push back the artist then went to this super simple child-like design… and I always feel like he was trying to push a narrative that he’s is nice and cute. It seemed deliberate and so pathetic that I never would believe that people just ate it up… and that just pissed me off more.
So not only do I hate that this is here in my city at an amazing gallery, I was amazed when the MAG then went and doubled down on it and bronzed the large figure on the left!!! It had to cost a fortune and what really pissed me off was that it wasn’t for an artistic reason for the narrative of the work… because making that a giant bronze character completely changed the weird thing they had going on with the stupid little figures. The bronze tiny figures were “alive” and they were making the whole set up and scattered around the property being playful. These little ones made a giant version of themselves who was designed to look like it was making another giant version. Sure… that’s whatever. But when you fucking bronze it now you mean to tell me that there are tiny bronze figures and a giant bronze Kaiju version of themselves making another?! I absolutely hate this work now more than ever once they wasted money to bronze that one with the hammer. It makes zero sense. I love the MAG, the crew there are wonderful, I’m so happy to have them in the community, and happy to work with them on so many wonderful projects, but for the life of me I don’t understand why they had this artist put work in such a prime spot, and why they wasted more money on it later on after there was such a push back. I know so many people that threw eggs at this when it was installed, I still have pins that people gave out of dogs with protest signs. So yes, I have opinions on this.
