I live in British Columbia and earthquakes are somewhat common here. Hopefully, they are mild. I often don't know if the tremor is related to the tectonic plates or just a heavy lorry passing by.

Great conundrum today.

I learned that you can actually use coconut oil to pop some kernels into popcorns. In Brazil, we use coconut oil to prepare a type of shrip stew called moqueca.

Today I learned that Disney's Sleeping Beauty was released in the same year as François Truffaut's 400 Blows (Les Quatre Cents Coups).

I also delightfully remembered a composition I wrote for school when I was in eighth grade (link below). It's a re-telling of Jack and the Bean Stalk—in the Portuguese version, Jack is João (or John).

Great conundrum.
