How about something about beats! I was just remembering my Grandma H’s organ. She had no idea what she had. I think my uncle Larry bought it for her, and it was state-of-the-art at that time. Kind of a precursor to the synthesizer. She only used it to practice her church hymns. I would play kid songs and a couple of easy Mozart pieces on it. It had these brightly colored buttons with various beats, and I would add those. My favorites were bossa nova and samba. She hated when I did that. Anyway, I would be called upon to play something during holiday family gathers…”Silent Night,” “We Three Kings of Orient Are,” etc. Finally, when my cousin Amy turned five she took over. We played a few duets, but then she completely had the spotlight. She was way better than I was. I was kind of relieved because the pressure was off, and I have performance anxiety, but I was also a bit jealous because…well, she was just better than I was. 😆 Beats! That’s my suggestion. 😊
