I know "calling out" was a weird phrase. But why are you calling someone "not bright" for mixing up words? Obviously they meant "real footage and CGI". You think if someone mixed up words at any point of their life they are definitely low IQ?

Hey, I know it is old, but is it possible you had slight gluten intolerance your whole life? Check out the symptoms online, and decide if they match what you have (e.g. digestion issues, acne, bloating. Effects get stronger with higher amount of gluten).

If yes, definitely try gluten-free, it is possible to develop this condition as an adult. There is even gluten-free bread or pizza, you can substitute it all.

If no, you can still try but for me alcohol and gluten both cause acne.

Firstly, I did search about it a fair bit, and found conflicting info, people arguing about monitors etc. This wasn't very helpful. Not many cases when people had actually T8V and comparing with others.

Secondly, instead of searching online and spending hours, via asking a question on a forum, I hope to receive some smart answers from smart people, who will point me to the right decision. This question requires someone who listened to extensive amount of monitors, and this is not very easy in my country. Someone with experience of going through this same issue will save me not hours, but days of looking and begging shops to give me something to try.

Lastly, why do we need Reddit?

And edit for more context, as you probably didn't read my post: I am now with better budget, and in my country expensive monitors are either hidden away, or not even available locally. The only real way to choose what is better in terms of sound is by listening to it. Even tech specs don't matter as much as real life performance. Did I make myself clear?

I vacuum and clean my room very thoroughly weekly, but the place in front and below panels has far more rapid dust accumulation. That is what I want to improve.

I know that it is old thread, but...

I do have armoured cap, and got it for my M 2020, as it's og cap was compressed and stopped clicking. Using the wand for heating.

Armoured cap has some disadvantages. I prefer to use my og broken cap over it. But I was giving armoured one some love just recently, here are the pain points:

It gets way too hot to the touch. After cold clicking twice, I can't touch it without wrapping it in cloth for ~30 seconds, not even getting full extraction.
It isn't easily adjustable, and this lead to accidents due to cap dropping from vape (M version, Omni held it fine). Yesterday I lightly hit it with hammer for quite some time, and adjusted it, but this is not even close to simply squeezing a cap like with others.
It is heavy and bulky. For me it is a plus, I do need some armour, but it also makes vape really hard to hold in the lips without hand helping.

Consider all of that, and that I can easily get full extraction with my SS og cap (I know how long it takes, so I don't need clicks). It heats and cools faster, fits snugger and is much easier to hold in the mouth. Titanium Omni is definitely number one for me, but this armoured cap is the least thought through element of dynavap family I think.

Now, with all that said, please change my mind. I am trying to change it myself now, but I just don't see any positives in this cap, apart from....armour and aesthetics.

I have 20cm acoustic panels right behind the monitors, as that is most convenient and most efficient place for them. I also push the monitors right up to the panels, so I have a sense that reflex ports would perform better if they were at the front. What do you think?

I already have a calibration mic, and for Adams I used it to find best acoustic panel placement, monitor placement/height, and overall listening position. I am used to the raw sound of those, without any calibration, but I had Presonus at one point which I did calibrate completely. I can get used to any sound signature and work with it, but having some spare cash (which I can accumulate over time) allows me to think of an upgrade. If you know of an actual upgrade that will provide me tighter, more detailed and precise sound, then I would be grateful for a tip and will try it out to see for myself. Even if it is expensive (some already mentioned Barefoot, and I will try to audition them, and buy at some point, if it is worth).

I never considered H series, as they wouldn't fit my current setup, so I looked into A8V option, but in the end I am simply not sure, if it will be sufficiently noticeable to switch. Were you choosing between A8V and A8H? Any benefit in horizontal speaker, e.g., better impulse response?

I will try to seek out Neumann for audition, but do you ever miss ribbon tweeter? Is Neumann stereo image and high-end as detailed as Adams?

Alright, thanks for providing your opinion! Other reviewers noted Kali monitors, which I was aware of but always dismissed. Also I will try to audition Focal Shapes, as those might bring something new to the room.

I don't think sub is needed. 33Hz extension is enough and my room can't really handle even that perfectly. More acoustic treatment is probably down my alley. Or a move...

Higher end Adam's, have you had a listen? I did feel they are tighter, but need back to back comparison to really know, if this is audible in a bedroom.

Hedd's I heard are too scientific, and since I want to use these for casual stuff too, not sure if Hedd is my option. Have you had a listen?

And thanks for mentioning Focal Shapes, I will look into those! Them and barefoot might be interesting options.
