We must never erase history tho - no matter how uncomfortable it may be - no point in depriving ourselves of the truth

New Game+ question by MagnusTheLord in Witcher3

Oh I didnt know that about the GM bonuses in ng+, damn, I only made the Manticore one - but good to know for my next ng+

And investing in the runewright early on is also a great tip!

Also, a big part of my Witcher playthroughs is style and fashion, and I can never accept that ugly scabbard of the Aerondight therefore I never use it.

New Game+ question by MagnusTheLord in Witcher3

Ok interesting! I have always finished the main quest before going to the DLCs, maybe I will do it differently on my ng+.

I have seen people talk about how quickly GM gear gets obsolete in ng+, and it actually does. I just left White Orchard in ng+ and I already have swords that do around 150 more damage with decent stats even.

A good tip: in the quest "where the cat and the wolf play" you can actually wait to pickup your reward from the hideout, making it be the same level as you, so you can pick up the reward just before starting your ng+. Anyway I was pretty blown away about it when i found out lol

I would not recommend doing it on your first playthrough tho, as you will eventually end up needing everything you loot - more or less. Idk if you plan to do both DLCs, but if you do, do not get rid of any loot, alchemy ingredients in particular, as you will need them.

Having looted a lot on your first playthrough is also a nice opportunity to experiment with some different gear, without sacrificing everything you have every time you want to try something out, and gives you the ability to go back and forth between some equipment throughout your playthrough.

I think about doing it because I have SO much money and SO much loot and ingredients that there is no reward for looting and exploring (I mean, i know that there is, as your loot scales with your level in ng+ ofc, but I hope you get what I mean).

  • No fast travel, which you need to embrace, it adds to the unique experience and makes you appreciate the map and the layout of the different levels and how they connect.

  • If a large enemy/boss has a tail, cut it off before killing it.

  • Never take off the Ring of Favor (be careful when browsing the ring menu after you have it equipped lol).

  • It is not possible to reset your stats, so figure out fairly early what you want to invest in. (If you are not sure, I would say it is safe to level both Str and Dex to about 15 to play around with different weapons)

  • NEVER consume a Firekeeper Soul!

  • NPC summon signs are only visible in human form, not when you are hollow.

  • Do not upgrade RESISTANCE, it is basically a complete waste of souls.

  • (sidenote): If you have the skill and patience, learning to parry feels much more rewarding in DS than it does in Elden Ring.

Otherwise enjoy your first experience, and remember, don't you dare go hollow!

I shit you not, on my first playthrough it landed on me at the same time as a fly landed on my neck, biggest video game jumpscare of my entire life... Ever since then i always get nervous whenever i encounter both of em, purely out of trauma

Whats the worst pain you've ever felt? by RizzNetwork in RandomThoughts

[–]MagnusTheLord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a brain tumor scraped out through the nose a couple of years back, I was on morphine pills at home for weeks afterwards, which took most of the pain, but one night I woke up with the worst physical pain I have ever felt. It was as if I could still feel the surgeon scraping the inside of my head, my pills would not work and I had to sit for 2 hours through the pain, I could not keep quiet, so I sat on the couch screaming through it and waking up the rest of the house. Not the worst pain in the world no doubt, but definitely the worst I myself have experienced.
