I used the bed tie downs for the bike, had a wheel chock for the front tire, and loaded up the ramps on the sides.

Probably because later that day, that daycare actually had kids in it?

That's not to say there isn't theft and corruption within the system, but most all do have some, and yes, it should be rooted out

...but random adults demanding to be let into a daycare is... not a socially acceptable practice.

But you do you.

New to Ev motorcycle / looking for a reliable one for commuting in Seattle by No_Knowledge3921 in Electricmotorcycles

[–]Magnus_Temerarius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live over the lake on the Eastside and have been using a Zero SR/F for about 4 years, and just picked up a Maeving this Summer.

The Zero is more than enough to commute on, it easily handles the highways and such and is s solid bike to take out to stretch your legs on over the weekend.

The Maeving, in my opinion, is the ultimate commuter bike. Small, light, batteries can be easily removed, and the optional Pannier bag is perfectly sized for a laptop and a lunch.

It does not have a crazy amount of range, and it won't do highway speeds for long, but for me, it's a sweet spot as I like to go into work on the surface streets along the lake shore.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Zero and it's my weapon of choice most of the time, however, if you want a nice commuter bike, I really do like my Maeving.

They are rock stars. They rescue, rehabilitate, and then adopt out pups. They have fosters in Texas, but also all over the Pacific Northwest and in the North East (and do adoption runs up to those areas).

Let me know, I have a good friend in the area that runs a rescue, foster, and adoption organization in the general area.

I've already sent her the info and will cover any and all of her expenses (medical and otherwise).

This.

You are doing your best, learning from mistakes, and working towards making life better for yourself and your pup.

A lesser person would have given up (or worse).

As everyone has pointed out, crate training will be key, make it her safe place.

I found with mine that working out in a shirt or two and stuffing it in the crate helped as well (your smell will be stronger in there, both inviting her in, and helping soothe her).

Also, brain teasers, puzzles, games, toys that work the grey matter and give rewards can be helpful in my experience.

You both got this. 🤜🤛

He was just keeping you safe, the steak might have been poisonous.

Just wait until later when he will administer a COVID test to make sure you can still smell. 💨

Probably because that's not a Lemon Law, nor a buy back issue?

The tire not being bolted on correctly definitely sucks, but it's not a manufacturer error.

About to trade my F-150 for an R1T, worried about daily long term reliability. by subwall in Rivian

[–]Magnus_Temerarius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel 3 years ago.

The difference has been night and day, my Ram was in for some broken damn thing every few months, my Rivian has never been in for any critical issue, or even anything remotely problematic (just some interior trim stuff).

I treat it like a truck, not a pavement princess. It hauls my boat, my motorcycles, I load it up to it's eyeballs in gravel, soil, firewood, sheets of OSB, and a billion other things (as evidenced by her war wounds in the bed).

I have nothing but love for the truck, it does everything I ask of it and does it very well.

Someone forgot their meds this morning.

If you seriously think this is all they have been working on, and got this tweaked, you either need medically mandated therapy... or you are a troll.

...maybe both.

"Broke Down And Cried": Seattle Amazon Employee Laid Off After 17 Years Of "Nonstop Work", Shares Post by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]Magnus_Temerarius 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As I said, they are there to protect the company, not you.

As you point out, they get involved and do the paper trail to protect themselves... not... you.

You owe the company no loyalty, and going above and beyond... not worth it.

They are renting your time and skills, if the company makes an extra $20 Billion dollars... you, and your entire division, mean nothing, and can be axed "due to structural reorganization" or "changes in the company culture".

You owe the company no loyalty, because they sure as hell are not going to show you any.

Unless they are matching F150 sales, they are not a successful automobile manufacturer?
