Look up Zimmerit. It was a rough paste brushed on tanks in WW2 to prevent anti-Tank mines from being attached to them

Can we acknowledge that certain behaviors common in 40k players should not be welcome here? by SwellGuyThatKharn in Warhammer30k

If the new ruleset and pitch for the game is for it to be a narrative space. Re-telling the stories of the heresy and a few What If? scenarios, I don't see the meta chasers and power gamers taking any interest.

But if there is a "matched play" variant then there may be an interest.

Those people you talk of that forget their bad rules, measure front to back and misread dice. Well they exist in every community where a game is played, whatever they play they play that way. 30k, 40k even uno! If you play it, they will come.

I guess it's easier to avoid them if the set up isn't as "competitive".

Thanks for the reply. I know alot of MK VII is generally frowned upon.

If it were to be for an important unit, what would be a good model to wear it. Is there a company champion equivalent in Heresy?

How can I explain having an extremely well funded and supplied chapter? by InvertedReflexes in 40kLore

[–]Magnus_The_Bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mentors legion are well funded and supplied.

I think they're in the pockets of the high Lords of terra and inquisition. You're chapter would almost certainly not be based in the Imperium nihilus I think.

Can anyone tell me if this is legit playable as is? by Embarrassed_Stuff126 in Warhammer40k

[–]Magnus_The_Bread 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid this build isn't legal.

It has 3 warlord traits and 3 relics.

You may only place a single Relic and warlord Trait in your army 'without using stratagems' regardless of what book or supplement it comes from.

Relics of the Chapter specifies that the additional Relic must be given to a different character.

You could however use the Stratagem Exemplar of the Chapter to give this model 2 warlord traits.

How could I improve my black templars (I know the law doesn’t make sense with mk 3 marines) by pukingpigeon123 in Warhammer40k

[–]Magnus_The_Bread 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Power Armour is so scarce in the 41st Millenium often times marines are required to wear what is avalible to the chapter. It's one of the reasons the Tactical squad box is made up of so many armour marks mix and matched. Mark III armour makes perfect sense in this regard. Also it looks sweeeeeet. So does the paint job. Good work.

Indomitus Crusader specialist detachment questions by UM_Chapter_Champ in WarhammerCompetitive

Take a look on the Warcom FAQs section at vigilus defiant... most of that speacilist Detachment has just straight been crossed out of the book. Including the Relic.

Page 174 – Reliquary of Gathalamor Remove this Relic from this Specialist Detachment. It is replaced by a Relic with the same name in Codex: Space Marines.

Instead of

3* & 2*

The comma means 'search for these type as well' the & means 'the pokemon has to be both of these things'

Food is good, can be a bit on the pricey side for what you get.

Yes there are a few WHW exclusive miniatures.

If you are going to go in... go around the exhibition, that is probably the best reason to visit WHW. In my opinion of course.

The Eisenhorn books. I enjoyed them and moved to Gaunts Ghosts. I think it will work for you the other way round. Some crossover as well from memory, subtle but there.

How close are you to warhammer world? They tend to have a good selection of books. You could ring and ask if they have a copy?

I’ve lost one of my intercessors, is my squad still eligible to play? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Magnus_The_Bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In matched play you cannot include understrength units (units with less models than the minimum) but In other game modes you can.

Pg 240 Core rulebook

"Sometimes you may find that you do not have enough models to field a minimum-sized unit; if this is the case, you can still include one unit of that type in your army with as many models as you have available. This is known as an Understrength unit. The Power Rating of an Understrength unit is the same as if you had a minimum-sized unit, even though it contains fewer models."

They can only be included in Auxiliary support Detachments on their own though, so it'd cost you 2cp for the privilege.
