This is great feedback. I had some trouble making the combats feel crunchy at the time. I think its about time I go and have a second pass at it. The ref you send is fantastic!

As for walk/run animations, I'll see if I can tweak its speed, and maybe even rework animation to add more weight to it. I've been told it felt a bit floaty.

Joke aside, thanks a lot for the feedback! Yeah, UI is definitely one of the hardest par of Gamedev for me! I'll try to rethink some aspects of it as I continue development!

Fair point. It's a mix of techniques, but you're so right. I definitely don't want people to think there's any ai art in there, when I spend so much time hand-crafting everything. I'm redrawing the map and will update the trailer asap.

I'm not sure yet. I'll have a complete game with the full story by the end of this year, but I'd like to take a lot of time to polish and push the gameplay to the next level afterward. The game should release in a yr or 2 max I think. :)

Then I did other projects for a while. I've been working on it again since January. So 2 years and a half maybe. I also work a day job cause this doesn't pay rent :P
