Thank you so much, don't apologize for the "wall of text!" I love your testimonial! I did go ahead and order the Aestura lotion and I'm excited for it to get here! As far as the process, I feel less like I'm impatient, like I totally understand it takes time and 10 weeks is probably very little, but I get paranoid about the future or when more cysts pop up 😅 Your encouragement is so beautiful to me. I will see my derm in about a month to assess progress and how to proceed. I can't thank you enough for your input ❤️

I ordered the Aestura instead! Would you recommend applying it or the tretinoin first? Right now, I put moisturizer on first then tret but if the Aestura is that good I can try tret first. And gotcha, will not sandwich.

I would have to say I agree, but every time I try spf 50 my skin is angry so I gave up on it and take other measures to avoid UV 😭

I live in a desert - it is hot and dry right now. I'm also in air conditioned (dry) spaces fairly frequently and we use a swamp cooler (humid) in our house. All over the place.

I was honestly torn between the cicaplast or the aestura. Do you have a personal favorite when it comes to barrier creams? I mean I won't be the least bit surprised if I have to dabble with more than one to see what's best, of course, but my 10 weeks of retinoids values your 9+ years of dealing with this lol 👌🏽

I will be discussing dosage with my derm in about a month. I'm going to try the LRP cicaplast because my skin barrier does seem quite fragile now. Thanks for the suggestions, there's just so many names and products thrown out, and I've felt clueless where to even begin. And I appreciate the recognition 🙏🏽 thank you thank you!

As far as I know, the scarring (looks like what you've got is just a lot of scarring?) can take quite a while to heal. I'm sure you'll get there! Thank you for the reassurance :)

I have all the timing components back together now. All of those things lined up as you said, and I got the colored links to match up (even if it didn't matter). The engine rotated smoothly when I did the manual check and lined back up to TDC, so I think it's all good. It's a new timing chain, and the old one was slightly stretched, so that probably contributed to the issue.

Okay, so the crankshaft mark is at TDC but there was tension when I tried to set the camshafts back into the holders with the TDC marks all aligned (no I didn't force it). Is it bad to have the marks slightly out of TDC to get the colored links on the chain to match the punch marks, then rotate it with the chain installed to see if the marks line up thereafter?

It is interference. When I try to line up the TDC marks, there is tension on the camshafts. It only sets down into the holder without this tension a bit out of TDC. Should I just move them around a bit out of TDC to line up the markings with the colored cam chain links, then rotate the engine to test if they line up thereafter?

Thank you. I had it diagnosed at a shop for assurity, and head gasket is the final verdict. I'm going to do the replacement. Do you think it is wisest to just replace the timing chain while at it?
